IOWA. Iowa needs a pro team. We don't have any pro teams in any sport. Unless you count our new race track in Newton, Iowa which is having Indy cars come this year.

the league will never have more then 30 NHL teams so will never see another expansion. within the next 10 to 20 years you will see teams like Florida, Carolina, Columbus, Nashville, Anaheim, San Jose, Phoenix, and a few others will be moved out cause of to much money lost over the years. yes i know that the Ducks have a great team this year but in the next few years Pronger, Niedermayer, Selanne will all be gone and the Ducks will be once again the crap team that still wont get much attention.

i would love a team back in Canada which the fans are their, but this will never happened if Gary Bettman is the Comish, once hes gone you will see a new team in Canada for sure. Jets, Nordiques. with the new salary cap and the Canadian dollar stronger then 5 years ago NHL can survive in a Canadian city. I'm just so sick of seeing teams move around the NHL to city's that know **** about hockey.

GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Hopefully they won't expand any more. I'd like to see the southern teams (Carolina, Nashville, Florida) move to cities that would actually care about them, like Winnipeg and Hartford. I don't want an NHL team in Portland because it would drive out the junior team. NHL in Seattle will never happen because they'd have to build a whole new arena and they've already built beautiful, ridiculously expensive baseball and football stadiums in the last 10 year, using tons of public money.

The next place I would like to see a hockey team in is a CANADIAN province.
first you get Quebec out of the NHL, the the Winnipeg Jets had to follow. They said that the team was losing to much money with the franchise. so I would like to see it there!!!!!!!

Both Quebec and Winnipeg should not have lost their teams in the first place.

I think once Bettman is out, you will find that Canada will be getting a team very quickly, Bettman is the only hold-up in all the hockey endeavour.

If I were a betting man, I would say that the Phoenix Coyotes could be a prime candidate to relocate if they don't get a new ownership group next season. Unlike the Florida Panthers, the NHL owns the Coyotes and I don't think the rest of the owners are going to wait forever for a money man in Phoenix to step forward and buy the Coyotes and keep it in Phoenix.

The next NHL team will be located somewhere in the USA. No way will NHL brass allow another Canadian team. Though the best fans are in Canada and the Northeastern USA, they will likely expand to a USA location with "potential". It is possible that Pittsburgh will relocate to Kansas City. That may be the next "new" franchise but the NHL has been there before and Pittsburgh has been in the league 39 years. So................the next "expansion" franchise location, if that is your meaning, could be in Portland or Seattle. Salt Lake city is also possible. These are locations that fill empty geographical locations that do not host an NHL team and have postential from a population and popularity standpoint.

Milwaukee!!! Hockey is huge in Wisconsin (look at the UW Madison team), and they have the Bradley Center (which was originally built for an NHL team, but the deal fell through).

I heard a rumor that the NHL was looking for a team to move or start up in Las Vegas. It sounds like a good Idea. But I would like to see a NHL team expand to Wisconsin because its a big hockey state and have good fans i would think because of the devoted Green Bay Packers fans.

Can't be Vegas...they won't allow gambling on local teams, and pro sports relies too much on gambling for interest.

Shouldn't be Cleveland or Seattle as there is already too much pro sport competition in those towns. One could argue on similar lines against both Portland and Kansas City as well.

I'm thinking the league returns to its roots with resurrections possible in both Quebec City and Winnipeg, as well as potential spots in either Hamilton or London, Ontario. Or the league will try to find medium sized US cities similar to Columbus where hockey is the only pro sport option...Grand Rapids, Duluth, Norfolk/Hampton Roads, or Colorado Springs.

I would like to see an NHL team in Seattle or Portland because the Pacific NW isn't represented (with the exception of Vancouver). Those two cities deserve better than major junior hockey.

Pittsburgh, if they build an Arena, after all they deserve to have the Penguins replaced. They already showed that their is a fan base there if it is brought back in a reasonable time. Sorry but as a fan I accept there is a good chance the Penguins will move and they have good reason. The city officals did nothing to help keep the team there.
