I think that Dave Shultz should kick the crap out of Gary Bettman because Gary just doesn't understand that hockey is a game first and a business second. Sure its a business as well but every single player in the NHL loves it as a game first and Bettman just doesn't get it. Furthermore his obvious disrespect for Canada is starting to get a little annoying - doesn't he know that we provide most of his meal ticket? (ie - most of the players still come from Canada)

Chris Chelios....he isnt the toughest but listen to the hatred spewing from him on the subject of Gary Bettman and the whole lockout deal and it is obvious that with the pent up anger he has Bettman probably wouldnt survive a beating delivered by Chris.

I wouldn't consider any tough guy kicking the crap out of Bettman. Consider how much more free flow and more fun hockey games are now since the lockout. There isn't the fiscal imbalance there used to be either. Bettman etal has changed the game for the better.
But if you wanted me to suggest a hockey player to kick the crap out of him, I'd pick Bernie Nichols or Theoren Fleury and give Bettman a chance to win.

Mike Robitaille. He's getting up there, but last night he was having a slight disagreement with his younger broadcast partner and the guy was still afraid of him. That's what I call presence. Roby would get the job done and smile while he's doing it! Plus, he has so many problems with the way the league is being run and the way the game has changed since he played, I'm sure he would enjoy kicking Bettman's wiener butt.

Andrew Peters because he's tough as hell and clearly beat up Donald Brashear..
Or Rob Ray because he's basically the strongest man in the world and lost only 1 fight out of about 100.

Chris McAllister. He's just a goon who gets zero points a season, but man, he can kick some as$. Hell, he'd probably step on Bettman and just get it over with.

Cam Neeley could brawl and play too. He also was a hockey purist and deserves a shot at Bettman.

The Flyers Broad Street Bullies of the 70's and early 80's. All of them, just pile up on him. If I had to pick one then it would be Dave Schultz.
