I was at the Penguins game Dec 29 2006 watching my Leafs lose and I saw some fans with a big banner that was about the rally. I live 5 hours away in Ontario so I could not go. As glad as I would be to see a new NHL team in Ontario I would still hate to see an NHL team with such history lose the team. When I was in the city it seemed the locals all loved the Steelers but did not care as much about the Penguins. Being as the NFL season ends December-February this would leave Feb to June to cheer for the Penguins so that is something to keep in mind for all you Steelers fans.

I went to the rally! I really hope it helped but time will tell!!

This city loves the Pens! Its Gov. Rendell who doesn't care about the western side a PA.

If it was Philly this would not be a problem!!! He is a A.SSHOLE!!

Sometimes I feel like people in Pittsburgh have such a love affair with the Steelers that they lose sight of the great franchise that is the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Steelers are champs, but so are the Pens who have won 2 Stanley Cups. Retired or still active the Penguins have produced a whos who of great talent throughout the NHL; Mario Lemieux, Jaromir Jagr, Alexi Kovalev, Martin Straka, Darius Kasparaitis, just to name a few. I wave my terrible towel for the Steelers, and when the seasons over cheer for the Pens.

Dude, I wish that I could have been there. I'm originally from around Pittsburgh and I would hate to see the 'Burgh lose the Penguins.
