In the aftermath of a shocking performance in the world cup I would expect (and hope) that the FA have realised that they were probably a bit hastey in there appointment of steve mclaren.

although he is the natural successor, a complete overhaul is what is needed instead of the impationate approach which has taken us nowhere.

Who would you have in charge?

Personally i thought it was great drama and the best thing i have ever seen outside of the fact that it may have shifted the tide of the game.

Can u tell me something great about Zidane's head butting that italian player? What do you see about human beings that was so viviidly displayed in that moment?

All the vociferation by English fans that Figo should be out of the Portugal-England because of his soft headbutt to a Dutch player but now the same who crucified Figo are defending Zidane... Bunch of hypocrits...

I honestly feel like he did, but I would love to hear other opinions. He knew it was going to penalties, but yet still subbed off Henry for Trezeguet (who missed his penalty shot). This was disasterous... Henry out and then Zidane gets red carded (he would have taken a kick as well). Anyway, it was a horrible substitute and I thought so immediately when I saw Henry walking off... opinions?

Don't you think everyone is making TOO BIG a deal out of Zidane's headbutt? I mean...it seems like everyone is dissappointed because they feel he could have gone out with GLORY instead he went out with SHAME...I don't get it...it's his choice, since he did it intentionally...he obviously KNEW he was going to get red-carded...seroiusly..I think the media and fans are more concerned about his GLORY-EXIT than Zidane himself! What he did was his choice...I don't think we should really concern ourselves with it!
Zidane is still one of the greatest and most amazing players on the planet...well, at least in my books! :)

To say the truth I was really in the France team and I even had the hope that France would hold the cup.Actually, they were much much better than Italy players. It was only because of the so-called penalty shot outs that the Italian players were able to win.I was really depressed. I could'nt even sleep the whole night.

This World Cup has seen even Thierry Henry, the one player I was sure was above such behaviour, feigning injury. I wonder whether other people share my disillusionment with the game I grew up loving?

In the NBA, NFL. MLB, if you get knocked over, you get up, act like it's water off a duck's back. Think of the Dwayne Wade commercial. If you were to play-act the way soccer players do, you would be absolutely ridiculed by the media and fans. Can you imagine LeBron faking a foul by writhing in pain on the floor when he'd only be brushed lightly, if at all? I don't know about you, but don't you think all the faking that goes on in soccer is a little antithetical to what the sports is all about? Don't get me wrong - I love soccer and I think soccer players are incredible. But all this faking of injuries and fouls really bothers me.
