I live off the west coast of Ireland and it gets pretty windy-just wondering if you know any tricks for beating a headwind? It slows me down a lot a jolts me from side to side.

I was thinking of those power suits that weightlifters use you know the ones that increase your strength-with that I could pick up more speed.
Sounds kinda stupid but I was wonderin if a wetsuit would work as a power suit and also keep me dry and warm...

Any other solutions or inventions to cheat a headwind for the winter?-how much and wheres would be handy too...

and no a car is not a solution....

I've been a recreational rider for over 15 years but have no racing experience. I ride once a week regardless of weather and do interval training every other day for 45 minutes on my indoor trainer; I alternate this with circuit weight training. I'll be entering my first amateur race this spring and would love to know any training tips. I'm not looking to place on the podium right away but would like to have some respectable finishes.

My husband swears up and down that riding a bike is more work. I tried to explain to him that the ratio for running and riding on a bike is not the same, but he says none the less riding a bike does more for you and you burn more. I can't find any articles online or proof of me being right or wong. Do you know of a place that has all this detalied info because I dont think word of mouth is proving my case any.

I am looking to reenter the mountain biking hobby. I rode one when I was a kid and I loved it, my friends ended up going BMX so I followed then but now I am looking to return to mountain biking. I am looking at the above models but I'm not sure which one I want. I am looking for a good trail riding bike that can handle rough terrain like rooted trails and the like. I'd perfer ruggedness over speed but I don't want to sacrifice much of either. Any experienced riders able to help me out?

i love this 24 spoke wheelset. they are disc only so they must be stable, especially since they carry the XTR name. how do these compare to a regular 32 spoke wheel? does anyone know where to buy these wheels and how much they cost?

I live in a major metropolitan city, and during nice weather there are a few people who ride their bikes on major roads in the middle of rush hour - I think that bicycling is great, but when there are no designated bike paths, it just seems very dangerous to the cyclist and auto drivers at the same time. From a cyclist's point of view, why would you put yourself at risk doing this? It only endangers you and really messes up traffic.
