Yes. I have found that a pocket full of ball-bearings very helpfull. One throw, and they bounce "by accident" into headlights, side-veiw mirrors, and windows. OOPS!

dude, that happens in america too. i live near the uni, and there are TONS of students on bikes all over town, etc. so i always check my mirrors before opening my doors. i don't want a limp student for a hood ornament on my car. lol. ;o] they ride their bikes all crazy-like though...zoom across the street in front of you. and there are train tracks on the back lot of the uni, the bike riders race across the tracks and gates to beat the train. we have at least 3-4 train deaths each year!! i'd rather be late to class than explain how i got hit by a train. lmao.

You basically have to realize that anyone in a car just isn't looking for someone riding a bike or motorcycle. Being alert is the best thing you can do for yourself, because the person in the car isn't going to be.

fortunately, ive never had that experience. but if it did happen, yea, i would immediately kick into rage mode and beat the crap out of that guy, maybe key his car, then ride off. at least i would do that if i wasnt immobilized from the impact.
im quite lucky cuz i ride through heavy traffic quite open. i get alot of people beeping at me though. i got a lot of rich people in my town so they wouldn't want to put a dent in their $50,000 car.

OH YES. I remember some swine doing just that, as I cycled to college, one saturday morning, just as an articulated lorry thundered towards me. How on Earth I wasn't wiped out, I'll never know. Someone up there likes me.

No, because I have zero expectation that anyone will see me, or if they do will give a damn about my safety.
So when motorists or pedestrians or other bikers do stupid things, I'm ready - because I expect them to always do the worst possible thing.
Personal responsibility - give it a try sometime.

Yes... but I refrain and speed away while chucking water bottles and frame pumps or CO2 cartridges at the vehicle... It's always entertaining to try and watch them "run" after you!
