I've been advised to use the medicine ball for ab conditioning (ie: having someone drop the ball on the abs) and was wanting to know how this should be done. Like how high should you drop it from and should this be done while you hold a crunch or a leg lift, etc.

Thanks

Tarver was in Rocky but some say he didnt do a good job in the movie. Do you think Roy Jones would have did a better job because of his acting experiences like he did in the Matrix

Now that white Eastern Europeans have stepped up and taken control of the heavyweight division (they won't last long), I'm amused at the bleating from certain idiots about how great they are and how american boxing is on the decline.
The irony is that these boxers would never have gotten to that point if they had not incorporated American training methods into their regimen.

In the lower weight classes, good fighters like Joe Calzhage, Edison Miranda (a real monster) and Ricky Hatton are making a name for themselves, and the way some people talk, one would think that American boxing is finished.
Not so. America is, always has been, and always will be the proving ground for any fighter worth his (or her) mettle. They have to make a name for themselves here; we have the best competition, the best promotions, the best networks, the best everything.

And that's what people can't stand, the fact that America has the best of everything, so, in that sense, I understand the jealousy.

be the better punching bag? Maskaev, Klitschko, Valuev?
Meaning which one could take the most punishment before tasting the canvas if paired against those 3 decade's top 5 ranked fighters.

Realize the difference between a boxer that uses illegal tactics and a "dirty fighter"?

On average, how long does it take a person to learn to box well enough to get licensed in the state of California as an amateur boxer and be permitted to participate in competitions? (I am a beginner now and plan to train about 5-6 hours a week)

I know this is only fictional, but I'm still curious. All three judges scored the fight 95-94, two for Dixon and one for Rocky. I think Rocky was knocked down three times and Dixon once. Why weren't the total scores lower? Were the judges scoring a bunch of even rounds because it was an exhibition?

15 rounds in their prime. I would've cut the Klitschkos some slack but they're "all time greats" in some folks eyes so they should be able to 15 rounds.
