Considering Cerdan fought one armed in this first fight and held his own until failing to come out for the tenth I would have given Cerdan the edge.

When la motta trained and was on his game he was unstoppable. The man was as tough as they come and had a solid rock chin. A true animal in the ring, and out. I would have to say it depended on what la motta showed up.
