the lakers aren't going to win a title no matter who they trade him to, the only difference is that they might have to play an extra game or two against him out of 82 games.

I'm curious....I know there are Kobe fans, and Kobe bashers....
I'm not here to promote the guy and I'm not here to bash him.

I'm just curious as to what mature Kobe fans have to say.

Look at the situations Kobe and KG are in.....looks awefully similar to me.
-basic situation here....superstar who has littel to no talent around him-
Kobe has been in that situation for a couple years
KG.....his whole career

and look at how both of them are/have been handling things.
What reasons are their to like Kobe more than KG?
Is it just the fact that he plays for the Lakers?
or am I missing something?

I'm also not trying to say this to promote KG....
it's just an interesting comparison to me

I'm honestly curious as to what people have to say, and not any of the immature garbage that is so common on here.

Earlier in this year's season people were asking about final four teams and everyone were picking the pistons to win the east. I know they made it to the finals in back to back years but they were beaten in the end. Do you think they are still the best team in the east and should other teams fear them as much.

all the the team has ever done was try to appease him. they've traded away shaq and made it his team, what more does he want. And it's not like he's going to be traded to the spurs or any other team that would have a better chance than the lakers of winning since the spurs wouldn't want to ruin their chemistry.

I am trying to get more of a national feel for this. I have lived in Michigan My whole life, and I cannot stand the Pistons. I hated them when I was little and I still do. Six or seven years ago, all of my friends were "Laker fans" or "Spurs fans" or some other team. I was a Pacers fan..... and I still am even though they are a frickin' circus right now. So, when the Pistons started winning a few years ago.... I called my friends out on jumping on a bandwagon. In typical Detroit Sports fan response, they say "Dude, I've always loved the Pistons" (also see Tigers fan in 06). "How can you not like em' when you're from Michigan?" Well, I hate them anyway. I think they have been overrated, and I can't stand to go to a game because the trailor parks are empty for miles around. They are all at Pistons games. That's right, a bunch of White trash d-bags cheering on ghetto drug dealers (aka Rasheed Wallace). Tell me what you think.

am around 5 foot 11. How long will it take me to dunk if for now I can touch the bottom of the backboard? Like how many more inches do I need to add to my vertical? Will doing squats, lunges, and wall sits help me dunk? Most detailed answer gets best answer

Who should they trade to Portland to get Greg Oden or the #1 draft choice?

Think about it, if the Cavs get Greg Oden, then he and LeBron would be literally unstoppable with Daniel Gibson developing into a great player. This team would be unbeatable, because Gibson, LeBron and Oden would all be under the age of 23 by the start of next season. Think about that: they could win 3 or more Championships before any of the proposed "big three" even turn 30! DYNASTY!

answer is simple: america does not like a black man who they deem as being given so much, and believe that he should be cheerful for what ever he gets because he is black. Kobe should ask for whatever he wants in basketball because he deserves it and he earns it. Stop hiding behind your prejudices. when brett favre asked to be traded and flip floped it was no problem but when kobe does it, it is a problem? people look at yourselves in the mirror and stop being so scared of something you created.

Yes another Kobe question.... I am a die-hard Laker fan (since 1980) and Kobe is my favorite player, so I am targeting specifically fans like me (Kobe haters will say what they will). But am I alone in thinking that Kobe is just making himself look arrogant, selfish, and hurting his image? Yes, the Lakers have mishandled this situation, but I think Kobe could have been a man about it. Now he is more hated, and it has made it much harder for the Lakers to get rid of him.
