Yes another Kobe question.... I am a die-hard Laker fan (since 1980) and Kobe is my favorite player, so I am targeting specifically fans like me (Kobe haters will say what they will). But am I alone in thinking that Kobe is just making himself look arrogant, selfish, and hurting his image? Yes, the Lakers have mishandled this situation, but I think Kobe could have been a man about it. Now he is more hated, and it has made it much harder for the Lakers to get rid of him.

Jake S - thanks man. But what I mean is that he demands a trade one day. Ok, that is fine. Then he goes on to retract it and say "I love the Lakers. I am a Laker for Life!". Then a week later he implies a trade again. And if you read his website, he posts things heavily implying that he will be gone. And now the video..... All I am saying is that he could have kept this whole thing private, and dealt with this with professionalism.

You Lakers fans puzzle me. Obviously, none of us know what goes on behind the Lakers' closed doors but management has clearly behaved at least publicly in a more mature manner than Kobe. And I think it's probably safe to say that the whole franchise is in disarray and morale is somewhere under the crapper. Now if you agree that Kobe has done nothing to help the situation and has indeed possibly done a great deal to hurt it, how can he still be your favorite player? Why aren't you angry with him for all his disruptions and distractions? This is a complete mystery to me.

Although I'm not a Lakers fan, I used to enjoy Kobe Bryant. I thought he was a pretty cool person. But now, it's like he doesn't even think before he opens his mouth. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt in the rape trial (you know, innocent until proven guilty and all that), but since then, it seems he only cares about himself and his own needs and not the needs of a team that has stood by him for years. He drives people away. If he wanted that much pull within the organization, he should have retired and become GM. Since he's unwilling to do that, he needs to shut up. Fine, talk to people behind doors. Don't talk to the media.

yes. i've been a big fan of kobe's for a long time. i'm not a laker fan though so i was actually excited to hear he wanted a trade at first cus maybe a team i like better could get their hands on him. but now with how he's acting i don't know if he is more or a help or a hiderence to whatever team he plays for. i hope it all works out in the end. he's fun to watch.

p.s. i wish he hadn't changed his jersey number. he'll always be no. 8 in my head. 24 just doesn't work for him; mostly cus i'm used to 8.

honestly, yes... when i think about it, it's like a gigantic slap in my face, how i spend time out of my life to debate, and defend Kobe on issues both relevant and irrelevant to basketball, to have him practically prove everyone right... mind you, i'm not speaking about all that mj vs kobe, and lebron vs kobe, kobe's a ballhog or kobe's not a team player, and all that jazz... my point is to his own personal integrity, and his commitment to team and loyalty... i have posted how horrible a job management has been since Jerry West left, and how Kobe feels the direction the team is going and how the team is being ran is the same way Laker fans feel, true... one outburst expressing this is acceptable for me, a second is forgivable... but the constant expression of dissatisfaction with the organization, and the ripping of team mates (justified or not), the interviews, the videos... it's becoming too much... i only speak for myself when i say that i became a Laker fan because my father is, and it was one of the things we share back then, now, and forever... just like how many sportsfans start, by sitting next to whoever when they were little, and enjoying the team you love with the people you love... and since the 1980's, i can't remember anyone who has been part of the Laker Family so adamant about wanting to leave, except when AC Green signed with the Suns, and I can't even remember is he wanted to be traded, or just signed as a free agent with them, except for Kobe Bryant... as far as I can remeber anyone who left the organization, including Jerry West and Shaquille Oneal was either forced out, traded beyond their control, or not resigned... i guess to wrap this up and to keep from ranting any further, my point is how can you not help but feel rejected and betrayed when someone in the family is telling you they want to leave...

ITs noting new... JOrdan did the same thing... it was all good because they were winning they aquired 1 of the top players on his team , in Scottie Pippen, Horance Grant, Paxon, Rodman. JOrdan was also all about himself.. he also was a ball hog and he also wanted to win more than anything. Jordan too publicly bashed jerry Krause the owner.... up to the point where he used to make fun of him in front of other team-mates. BUT HOW DO U TRADE THE BEST PLAYERS INTHE LEAGUE?? u dont... u help him out and that is how u win.. so the lakers management better fuking suck it and make up and get some players or else KObe is out.

Personally, i'm neither a Laker, or Kobe fan, but if i WAS....I wouldn't be that offended. Now, if i was Bynum, i'd beat the snot out of him the next time i saw him. But, no, Kobe Is NOT targeting the fans. They should still have all their love and respect for him, especially now when he needs it most.

No, Kobe fans can't ever blame Kobe for his mistakes. They must blame and other factors in life or his team in general. If Kobe were to miss a open shot someone would blame the cameramans shiny lens because it blinded Kobe. Kobe never loses fans he only gets more on his penor
