This is just like Jereme Richmond of Waukegan, Illinois committing to Illinois during his freshmen year. He dominated in a horrible league, and I hear his grades have dropped and he is considering a different school now. 8th is way too soon, the kid won't give a crap about school now, because he will think that he's already got it made. Sophomore year should be the earliest for kids to be making decisions, but it really should be s juniors or seniors.

It's called a hoax who cares either lol the USC program for basketball isn't that great. They first have to be able to beat the top tier teams in the Pac-10 UCLA, Oregon, Cal.

I would say that the field of scouting must have gotten so advanced that they are able to pick out college players when they're only 13 years old.

My question is, what if his growth is naturally stunted and he stays at 5' 10" forever? How could they predict something like that?

Man thats crazy! I think thats gonna do more harm than good. Being so youmg i think he's not gonna apply himself in the class room because he feels like he already made it! I can see him going down the same path another USC commit did (O.J MAYO) blessed with great talent yet shows complete disregard for anyone...unless its about basketball! I HOPE HE PROVES ME WRONG!
