For months on here this has been a burning question, who's better and who deserves the No. 1-overall pick, Greg Oden or Kevin Durant.

And the consensus on here has seem to overwhelmingly favor Durant, and those who do all point to the statistics.

Yes, Durant averaged 25.1 points and 11.4 rebounds per game to Oden's 15.7 and 9.6.

But no one ever mentions the fact that Oden missed the first seven games and played with his right (shooting) hand heavily taped the entire season. And for most of the season, Oden was shooting with his off (left-hand) including free throws.

Durant wouldn't averaged what he did if he had wrist surgery and had to endure the rehab process.

Sure, Durant is a great athlete, a great scorer, and fun to watch, but, he's not a complete player. He's not a great defender.

Also, no one mentions the fact that Ohio State went further in the tournment than Texas.

i know lots of you kobe fans say michael jordan never scored 81 points but has kobe ever avereged 8 assits per game and jordan could have easily scored 81 points but he didnt have to with players like pippen also kobe takes 10 to 15 shots more a game than jordan ever did and jordan avereged about 50 % shooting for most of his career no ofense to kobe he is the best scorer in the game but not the best player he can score 30 point a game but can he score 30 point dish 7 assits a get 7 rebounds if you look at the whole package lebron james is the best right now but then again if kobe was on a better team who knows what he would average in other things besides points.

obviously having such a young team means a rebuilding year. since supposedly the sonics ownership are trying to get people in the city to help keep the sonics in seattle, how does a couple rebuilding years help keep the sonics here? sonics ownership spends more time looking at new locations out of washington rather than ways to come up with money to keep them in seattle.

I've been a huge Spurs fan ever since I was little. Even I'll admit, though, that the '99 and possibly the '03 teams were somewhat of a drag to watch. However, it infuriates me to still hear people perpetuate the myth that the Spurs play boring basketball. What, pray tell, is boring about lighning fast Tony Parker? NO ONE can keep up with him, not even media darling LeBrick James. The layups he makes are absolutely incredible! How about Manu Ginobili? He'll kill you with the 3-ball, the drive, or the ridiculous off balance circus shots he hits with amazing regularity. You want drama? OK, meet Robert Horry (need I say more?).

I understand that San Antonio is a "small market" (although we are the 7th largest city in the U.S.), but when these same "boring" Spurs keep on beating media faves like the darling Suns or Cavs at their own fast-paced games, you have to stop and give credit where credit is due. Show us the love, America!

I ask this question because a lot of fans seem to be upset with the Atlanta Hawks passing of PG Mike Conley Jr and getting Acie Law IV later in the draft. Acie law did the award for best Collegiate PG but Mike Conley Jr is seen to have more potential. There are other examples out there to, Thaddeus Young vs guys like Glen Davis and Nick Fazeikas. Proven upper classmen players tend to be more consistent in the pros, examples Paul Millsap, Josh Howard, Gilbert Arenas, Michael Redd, Carlos Boozer, but taken later in the draft. While younger players with perhaps more potential to be a star, examples Kwame Brown, Andrew Bynum, Darko Millic, Jonathon Bender, Keidrick Brown, are taken higher in the draft.

He deserves to go in like late 1st round/early 2nd round...he's not a top 10 pick

Dude is a horrible shooter...his mechanics are sooo messed up

Yes he can rebound and really hustle...but seriously doesn't chicago have enough of those guys? They already have Tyrus who is a carbon copy of Noah

Well noah is a better passer but that is it...iono if he'll fit well in chicago or any team for that matter

He is like a deep end of the bench kinda guy like a Dan Gadzuric or Reggie Evans or DJ Mbenga.

Noah is not a good rebounder.. In florida Al Horford did all the dirty work for him...with Horford underneath muscling players and boxing them out, Noah got easy rebounding opportunities...he's not gonna get that often in Chicago unless you expect him to play alongside Ben Wallace at the same time on the court...which if it happens will have 2 poor offensive players in chicago who can't shoot to save their lives on the court
Bad pick by chicago..total waste

American coaches, media, basketball gurus mostly underestimated the defensive prowess of Europeans, South Americans, Asians aspiring to play in the NBA. They insisted that their American players are better defender, more athletic but how can USA suffered debacles in international play of basketball. They cannot defend the 3-point line, the back door play. So how come those so-called experts are calling those Americans the best but actually their team are walloped by the teams from Greece, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Spain during the span from 2002-2007. Over-rated NBA Players, tsk. .tsk.. tsk
(Those who answer this must know their basketball, i don't need a moron-like answer and a broken english).
