Danny Ainge has destroyed the Celtic Pride too much that the franchise now is a joke. Goodbye Celtics being your fan was great till you took Idiotic Danny to man your future.

maybe they'll be better next season but after that, when allen finally feels the wear and tear then what. Its a move good, not even sure how good, for only one or atmost two season. I wont be surprised to hear paul asking for a trade any time soon.

yeah right! me not a true celtic fan... I have been a celtic fan since the 1980's. I have nothing against ray allen his a great shooter and a certified all star but how old is he? How long do you think his ankles, both of them, can hold? Is there nobody else worth the 5th pick, delonte and wally that can help the team?
Dont get me wrong i loved danny in his playing days but he aint as good as a GM. No wonder KG, marion, rashard and jermaine dont wont no part of the celtics.

I dont think you'll feel the same way after they finish wheelin' and dealin' and making some serious noise later in the year. We'll have to wait and see, but, I tell you what----they'll be much better than this past season.

You really have to admit the Celtics have done this to themselves. Come on, I mean tanking it to get into the lottery. Praying they get the Number One Draft pick in order to fix their franchise. That's no way for team with that much championship history to act. A lot of star players don't want to go to Boston because of the atmosphere surrounding the Celtics and the city. I'm not saying the city has a problem with minorities, but something is going on there that make minorities athletics reject Boston. Maybe Danny Ainge is not the best candidate to run the Celtics. Just because he was there for the championships, don't mean he knows how to run a team. Look at Jordan, a champion, and the failed Washington experiment. Maybe they need to cut bait and find a outsider to run the Celtics. Someone with some fresh ideas and a totally new approach. Maybe they should hire a first time GM.

I doubt you're a true Celtics fan. If you were, you'd stick with the team like the rest of us REAL CELTICS FANS. As a fan, you may not agree with the moves management makes, but you don't turn your back on the team just because you dislike what they did on draft day.
I've talked to my fellow Celtics fans, and many of us see the good side in getting Ray Allen. Danny should not stop with this move. He has to find a quality back-up PG, and a starter-quality center-forward. Other than Oden, no one in the draft appears to be a starter-type center, and even if the Celtics kept the 5th pick, they would still be looking for their center. So getting a proven all-star and an excellent shooter in Ray Allen is better than a question mark 5th pick.

What?! Ray Allen is a great player. I can't help feeling that Seattle got the short end of the deal. All rookies and no veterans. Ray Allen is the best pure-shooter. From all ranges, all types, off-balance, moving shots, set shots, jump shots, lay-ins, dunks. A great passer, rebounder, not a bad defender, in great condition, and a great leader. Not to mention class and showmanship. He's got about 7 quality years left in him. His best year was last year, and that was being injured, too. While I like West, Szczerbiak is a complete idiot, and Green is questionable in the NBA. Throw some more trades in, and you've got a deadly line up including Al Jefferson, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce. All you need now is a good point guard. You've got other people to trade for one. And not to mention, the East is weaker in the West. Round 2 in the play-offs is looking very probable for the Celtics.

The Celtics can not be considered a legitimite franchise. Come on, they blew games to trade away their 5th pick. I thought the Celtics were going young, start fresh, go back to their glory days, but making that roster old, Danny get the f*** out of Boston. The franchise died when Bird retired. Anna Nicoles Smith's body can return sooner, than the Celtics winning another championship.

I understand your frustration, I 'm a lifetime Laker fan, I hated Danny back in the day, but now he's ok.
