The Spurs don't rape, use drugs, shoot at people, or start brawls, so people call them boring. That's easier than watching closely and learning to understand and appreciate the fundamentals of good basketball. That doesn't mean they don't get any love, though. I've seen people wearing Spurs jerseys and teeshirts all over the world.
(F)akers, we need to talk. Since when do you listen to anything Stu Jackson says? And Isiah Thomas's record sort of speaks for itself, saying pot calling kettle, pot calling kettle, come in kettle...

well, actually i think the spurs finally got some love from the national media this year (for the first time ever, in my opinion)
but as for the playing dirty thing... the spurs are just a very frustrating team to play against. their defense drives people crazy. and if someone like amare yells "dirty" then it turns into a media circus. and fans of the losing team, no matter what the situation, will always latch onto any excuse they can for why their team lost... and frankly, most teams usually lose to the spurs in the playoffs... hence, all the whining and complaining.
but for people who really understand the game of basketball--they realize how good the spurs are...

i think they are a great team in winning.
one reason could be that from their first championship
till now only Duncan is on the team. So people don't
think of them as the same group.
Also their style is defense, kind of like Detriot and they
lack personality. Atleast with the Bad Boys you had
Rodman, or Isaha, or Lambire. Lambir played dirty but
the rest of the team has some personality.
So I saw the spurs said they are the new bad teams,
well not really. Only dirty player they have is bowen,
not making this up, Stu Jackson actually called him
mid-season and told him not to undercut players,
that's the league office, not me. Pop I heard was
upset about it, because he wanted Bowen to still
be agressvie. Well I know of 2 players and 1 coach
Vince Carter, Amare, Isaiah Thomas, that have
called his play dirty.
Its not soccor its basketball, you are supposed to use
your hands, not use your feet by stepping on players
or kicking them. Just the fact that there is a question
if he is dirty should be reason so know there is something
there. Just like Raja Bell last year got tired of Kobe
throwing elbows, and called it chipshots, this year
the League office finned Kobe 3 times fo hitting people
in the face with elbows as they called it un natural motion.
Bowen also uses his feet to undercut in an un natural
motion, next year I expect to see fines and suspensions
since now its out in the open and everyone knows it.
He has been warned.
As for the SPURs, they have never repeated, I don't
think they are going to do that well this year.

The spurs don't get no Love because people are jealous that there team cannot be like the spurs instead of whining all year and get arrested or cheating on there wives , they are actually working to make there team better and stronger, It doesn't matter what other people think and if they like the spurs or not were still the 2007 nba champs . GO SPURS GO

Calling the Spurs dirty is just a loosers way of crying without tears. I just bet all of you Spurs crushers are from LA, Phoenix, or another of the also/almost rans.

They are everything you say they are lisa, a good team in a small market that does not get the credit they should get. I am not a fan but love there style of play, it is not boring and they do not play dirty at all.

Spurs just won the championship, what love do you need? they got plenty of love from the state of Texas where everything is big. lol. San Antonio is a small market team playing in a rather small city..not like NY or LA or Chicago etc...

the spurs play fundamental, defensive basketball. People want to watch lebron james or kobe bryant do an amazing dunk, or step back and hit a fadeaway three. simply, the spurs are great, but a boring team to watch.

They are not in a large market like Detroit, or LA. so they get cast off to the side. people pay little attention to them because they don't get much tv time besides the playoffs.

They are boring. That is just the way they come off to us outside of San Antonio. The only reason people watch their games now is to see Eva Longoria.
