obviously having such a young team means a rebuilding year. since supposedly the sonics ownership are trying to get people in the city to help keep the sonics in seattle, how does a couple rebuilding years help keep the sonics here? sonics ownership spends more time looking at new locations out of washington rather than ways to come up with money to keep them in seattle.

i feel that if durant has a rookie year comparable to Lebron and carmelo's rookie year then maybe their will still be hope for the team to stay. but yeah when i heard about this trade, the thought that came to my mind was bennet thinking "we don't need to be a good team till we move away plus being bad for another year will help make it easier for us to move away "
I was pretty positive that Lewis wouldn't return after seattle got the #2 pick, I would now bet my life that lewis doesnt return after seattle drafted another forward in Jeff Green.
Come mid-season(bennet's deadline is pointless) if the sonics are as bad as they were this year, the fans will show wayyy less support now that the previous two best players are gone.

It doesnt help their case because they dont really want to stay in Seattle. The moves they made last night convinces me.They got rid of Ray Allen because they knew he didnt want to go to Oklahoma. The writings on the wall.
