The only team in the Celtics' DIVISION that they might be better than is the Knicks, and I'm not sure about that. Toronto, NJ, and Philly are all better than Boston, and not all of those teams will make the playoffs either. If Boston wins 35 games, that's an accomplishment, but how excited can Boston really be? Ray Allen is 32 and brings his bad ankles to Boston, when the Celtics had a golden opportunity to bring in a young talented guy with the number 5 pick and it didn't happen. They don't sniff the playoffs for at least another few years.

the Question is, how much does the aquisition of Jeff Green help the Sonics' chances to get to the playoffs? Boston fuked up. Ray Allen will retire in 4 years. Jeff Green will be another Chris Bosh. But Boston will get to the playoffs. Now Boston has Ray Allen and Allen Ray.

it really doesn't help much.last year ray allen had rashard lewis to help him and he didn't get anywhere so i dont think that paul pierce and ray will do much better.the celtics would have been better picking up someone in the draft like corey brewer who they could develop into a franchise player.for that matter they could have even picked joakim noah who has tremendous room for improvement.ray allen is not going to help them much at all.

Not a whole lot. He has a couple solid years in him yet, but he's not the elite player that he was in the past. Also, he plays a similar position as Paul Pierce. The Sonics really got what they needed out of that trade though.

none. there are to many good teams out there and Peirce and Allen arent going to be able to get it done. It was a bad trade for Allen cuz he should have went to a playoff bound team. it not fair to him

None, they can score but don't have no defense. Paul Pierce had better chemistry with Antoine Walker, if they were together , they would've been contenders!
