I will be a sophmore nxt yr and I was thinking about trying out for the basketball team...JV. What are some of the drills they make you do? Also, I usually play center, since i'm 5'9 3/4, do u have any tips that could make me a better center? Also, how can i prepare for tryouts? I already go to the gym and do cardio and weights three or more times a week. I'm also really nervous, and when i'm nervous, i play a lot worse, so how can i be less nervous during tryouts? My tryouts are in about 4 months.

I am 15 years old and is that too old for playing for the YMCA youth basketball.
Also do squats, lunges, and polymetrics(jumping of a box landing and immediately jumping up again) increase your vertical jump.
