As a native Detroiter it is upsetting to even think of him leaving. He is an amazing player and i would hate to lose him. Yet at the same time i realize that he could be making ig money somewhere else. It's not all about that though. He makes MUCH more then an average american so if he likes it here why leave us?
It is a good team both on the court and off.. STAY CHAUNCEY STAY PLEASE!! =)

If he is smart he will stay in Detroit. Its always smart to shop around and see what you are worth. It doesn't mean he will automatically leave just cause he opted out. He is a system player and it took several teams to find the one he fit with. If he leaves he will go back to just some guy. He and the Pistons are a great match for each other.
Big - Its nice to see someone play for the love of the game and not who can pay me the most. Either way he is rich and could live out his years in style and comfort. You act as if he couldn't afford to live without a huge raise.

I think he's being honest, but since the NBA is also a business he needs to consider his options as well. The next contract he signs could be his last, so I think he just wants to test the waters and see what the interest in him looks like. The Pistons can match any offer another team presents to him, so essentially he could remain there if that's what he prefers. The city of Detroit loves him, he loves playing alongside Rip Hamilton, and since the Pistons aren't loaded with superstars, I don't know how he would handle be second-fiddle to a big name player on another team.

He prefers to remain with Detroit... if they can match any offer anyone else makes. That he purposely waited to become a free agent shows that he cares more about the money than the team. We'll see what happens.

While his dedication to the team is commendable. He needs to do like Big Ben and go to a team where he can make some real money before he retires. While he still has a decent game left in him, he is not a spring chicken anymore!

best choice for him, i think it would alot harder for him to change his game if he went to another team, he is a bit overated but that system that they work at with detroit works perfectly to his game
