What do you think of the Pistons?

I am trying to get more of a national feel for this. I have lived in Michigan My whole life, and I cannot stand the Pistons. I hated them when I was little and I still do. Six or seven years ago, all of my friends were "Laker fans" or "Spurs fans" or some other team. I was a Pacers fan..... and I still am even though they are a frickin' circus right now. So, when the Pistons started winning a few years ago.... I called my friends out on jumping on a bandwagon. In typical Detroit Sports fan response, they say "Dude, I've always loved the Pistons" (also see Tigers fan in 06). "How can you not like em' when you're from Michigan?" Well, I hate them anyway. I think they have been overrated, and I can't stand to go to a game because the trailor parks are empty for miles around. They are all at Pistons games. That's right, a bunch of White trash d-bags cheering on ghetto drug dealers (aka Rasheed Wallace). Tell me what you think.

I think they blew it when they let Ben Wallace get away., they will have a long way to go to get back on top, but fortunatly for them the East sucks.

I doubt Detroit fans have a higher bandwagon tendency than any other city. It's just human nature - people trying to live vicariously through sports teams.

I can identify with your sentiment. I live in Illinois right now, and almost everybody I have met are idiot Chicago sports fans who don't root for their own team as much as they bash other teams.

I enjoyed watching Joe Dumars, and have a great amount of respect for Tayshaun Prince, so I'm kind of a pistons fan. But I'm not really a Detroit sports fan. I'm also a Pacers fan, as they were the closest pro team to where I grew up.

I am frow chicago I hate everything from detroit. I am a bears,bulls, and sox fan. I hated detroit back in the 80's when they were killing my bulls, and I hate them now. I hate maglio ordonez because he used to be here and now he is there, and I can't stand pudge. I love the LIons though because it will be 15 years before they win 5 games in a season.
