Because of the salary cap, there are no pieces which the Cavs could put together to get Oden. Oden will get his no. 1 draft pick salary; no one has any players who could be packaged for the no. 1 franchise center in ten years. Lebron for Oden might be possible; but salary cap wise it can't happen.
Moreover, the Blazers have gone from one of the worst ticket selling franchises in the NBA to their web site crashing from the volume of ticket requests since they won the No. 1 pick for Oden. The fans might burn down the Rose Palace if they trade away the pick - for anyone.

If the Cavs wanted the number one pick they'd have to trade Lebron for it. There's no player on the Cavs that the Blazers would want except for James. So keep dreaming and sorry but Big Z is a lot better center then Oden will ever be.

Calm down...The only way a trade would happen would be to get a deal equal to Oden's potential value...Unfortunately, the only player the Cavs have in that class is James. Gibson is promising and very talented, but not a skilled big man that Portland would expect in return. A trade will not happen...

The only Cleveland could get Oden is to trade Lebron for him. There is nothing Cleveland has outside of Lebron that is worth Oden.

Not going to happen. Cleveland has not picks this year to trade and nothing on the bench that would be close to what Portland would want for Oden.

They would need to give up LeBron and probably Drew Gooden. I doubt LeBron will ever get to play alongside Greg Oden.

Only one problem with all of this: salary cap. With Lebron's salary, and Oden's, Cleveland will be right next to salary cap limit, and they won't be able to afford anyone else to help them. Besides, they don't need another young gun, they need a veteran to help Lebron and Gibson keep developing.

The Cavs are LeBron and the biggest batch of no-names to ever make an NBA finals. The team has nothing of value to package together to get such a franchise player in the draft.
