I'm curious....I know there are Kobe fans, and Kobe bashers....
I'm not here to promote the guy and I'm not here to bash him.

I'm just curious as to what mature Kobe fans have to say.

Look at the situations Kobe and KG are in.....looks awefully similar to me.
-basic situation here....superstar who has littel to no talent around him-
Kobe has been in that situation for a couple years
KG.....his whole career

and look at how both of them are/have been handling things.
What reasons are their to like Kobe more than KG?
Is it just the fact that he plays for the Lakers?
or am I missing something?

I'm also not trying to say this to promote KG....
it's just an interesting comparison to me

I'm honestly curious as to what people have to say, and not any of the immature garbage that is so common on here.

well said.....I tend to forget that people in general like the guard position more than the posts
I'm the other way around.......

well done

All I can say, burnt, is that I am so glad you don't know my husband! The two of you would have and endless amount to talk about.....

In fact if I didn't know better I would think you were my husband incognito! JASON, is that you??

I know very little about basketball (though I am learning) I know that personal life set aside Kobe is a great player. But like all other celebrities that you get so sick of hearing about in the media. I have gotten to where I can't stand to hear the guys name. Good question though. Jason would have much more to say.

In my opinion, it would be great to see Kobe and Garnett play on the same team. Sadly, it doesn't seem like it's going to happen soon.

Kevin seems to have fallen in love with the city. He wants to stay there and make his team better in whatever way he can. I doubt that he will be able to do that by himself tough. Like you said, Kevin has been in this situation for most of his career and I think that's why he doesn't get as much attention as he did during his earlier years. His team isn't winning games, and they aren't getting into the playoffs.

On the other hand, Kobe being in a similar situation wants out and, in my opinion, should be released. He has created a lot of contreversy after insulting his teammates, the Lakers staff, and most of all, the city of L.A. Kobe is a an elite player among this league. He is a winner and hates to lose and he manages to do what he has to do in order to win, even if it means making most of the points himself. I think that's why he gets more attention because of the outstanding performances he has during games. I understand why he is frusturated, and changes need to be made in order to fit him and the Lakers.

Wel i like Kg beause he's my favorite basketball player I also like kobe but I like Kob emore than Kg when when it comes to game time because Kobe can get he job done he can win games KG can't i don't know why, but all kmow is that Kobe can score like crazy and KG can't so that's why and also Kobe has won more Championships than any basketbal player except for Robert Horry who has 6 or 7 i'm not sure and he is the talk of all the things that realte to the NBA

well the NBA today is dominated by small guys. their talent is overshadowing the big men. the guards and small forward's style of play, talent, and athleticism attract fans. fans like to see that kind of stuff. Kobe is always wowing the crowd with 3's, jumpshots, and dunks. and KG is jus doing post stuff and dunks in the paint. also, kobe is breaking records with scoring and everything. im not at all saying KG is bad, because he is a future hall-of-famer, one of the best players to come out of high school, with extreme athleticism. but the reason fans like kobe more is because they enjoy watching the guard making exciting plays.

I'm not at all familiar with Garnett's situation. He's not in the media or spouting off every fifteen minutes. For that reason alone, I feel more sympathetic toward him than I do toward Kobe.

Are you crazy? You want mature people to answer your question on Y!A..... Kobe fans/mature people, that is an oxymoron.

anyways... Kobe is a jerk. He is more popular and with that some will love him and some will hate him.

KG, I have no comment for.
