Paul Pierce and Kobe Bryant won't get paired up by the way.
Kobe Bryant in the East has a better chance going to the Finals, compared to the deep Western Conference.

I agree with everyone who said that if Kobe can pretty much single-handedly get the Lakers into the playoffs in the Western Conference, there's no reason the Celtics wouldn't be a top 8 team in the east if they added Kobe.

It'll never happen. The Celtics have nothing to offer but Paul Pierce of remotely equal value. Kobe would never waive his no trade to go to Boston. The only teams in the East with the right pieces are for sure Detroit and Chicago. Maybe Washington, Toronto, and Orlando. Forget New York, Philly, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Miami, etc., because they don't have the pieces to offer...

Kobe playing in the East will boost his chances of making the playoffs by a lot. The West is too dominant for one player to handle.

if the celtics get kobe, they definitely have a chance of getting to the playoffs, and possibly the conference fianls or nba finals. kobe and paul pierce will become the nba's best backcourt. even though they have al jefferson 4 the frontcourt, they need more big men.
