I spend a lot of time listening to sports radio from different cities in the USA... but since baseball season is currently not in season they dont speak much about baseball at the moment... I was wondering if any of you know of any Baseball Radio stations that are online that I can hear more about baseball more than football or basketball?

he stated that if it was him that was being accused,he would not be having statements come through his agent ...he would be battling, denying, these false statements his self...loud and clear.and would have already filed a lawsuit.if you have not come out fightingby now...with your reputation on the line, that says alot about your innocence...or lack there of.

this is one met fan who just became a john smotlz fan.like he said.if he was being accused...he would take a lie detector test right now to prove he was telling the the truth.lets see roger do that.

I could care less if players used steroids or not. All I care about is that I get to watch a good game of baseball. Does it really matter if players were using steroids WHEN IT WASN'T BANNED? I don't think it does and that all records during the steroid era should be legitimate because what the players were doing at that time was LEGAL.

Since turning 35, both Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens saw their numbers skyrocket:

Clemens
Turned 35 8/4/97
W-L 146-69
ERA 3.34
K per 9 8.7
ERA titles 3
20-win seasons 3
Cy Youngs 4

Bonds
Turned 35 7/24/99
BA .319
RBI 745
AB per HR 9.1
HR titles 1
40-HR seasons 5
NL MVP 4

All this after these two turned 35 after 35 you should be on the down side of you baseball not the up swing. So do any of you Bonds & Clemens supporters still think they are not cheaters?

Steve Stone is making his return to broadcasting, and this time he is doing his comeback with the Chicago White Sox. But this time he be at US Cellular Field in the radio booth, so he will not be making any homecomings to Wrigley Field. Instead he is going to do 13 home games in 2008, which is supposed to be all Friday home games in 2008. If the pitcher is forced to cover home, and a runner is coming in from 3rd, will he barrel into the pitcher just like he would the catcher? If not, why not?
Furthermore, why do collisions only ever happen at home plate? Why not when the runner is caught in a rundown between bases?
What I'm wondering is, is there an unwritten rule that basically says it's acceptable to plow into the catcher. I get the impression that if you plowed into a pitcher, there'd be hell to pay, but with a catcher it's ok. But a catcher's gear is meant to stop a small baseball, not a 200 lb baserunner. So I'm curious what the official and/or unwritten logic is.

Are there really any true cross town or regional rivalries? Other than disliking the people on the other side of the tracks, what's the point?

Isn't it better for the sport and each team in your area if fans supported multiple teams? I'm not talking season tickets here, but a lot of fans could go to a home game practically any day of the regular season.

What about the teams with no real interleague rival: Red Sox, Blue Jays, Phillies, Braves, Tigers, Mariners, Pirates, D-Backs, Rockies, Brewers, Twins, and Padres. Isn't it a waste of their time?

Do you plan to watch the 2008 all-star game? I know that it is way early, but do you plan to watch the all-star gam,e even through what will happen is unpredictable, or exxactly what will happen. But of course I predict the Amercan League will win the game. But don't you get tired of the American League side winning it alll the time, even since the rule was put in place, that which side that won the all-star game, will get home field advantage in the World Series, why or why not?

I do believe that many of the names in the Mitchell report has done some type of performance enhancing substance, and, indeed, at least, a couple of them (Petitte and Roberts) have admitted some truth to the report (though not all). I think the investigation was necessary for the good of baseball.

However, I have such a deep distrust in politicians and lawyers (and Mitchell is both) who are highly skilled in presenting any information to the public as the "truth"(regardless of whether it is or not), that I have a hard time believing that there was no other ulterior motive or "fishiness" to this report.

I think Mitchell was a very bad choice by MLB/Selig (dumbass!) to conduct this investigation, not only because he is a politician and lawyer, but because he is now going back to work for the Red Sox! Hmmmm, can you say "conflict of interest"?

BTW, Mitchell received a 2004 WS ring from the Red Sox.

It looks like they're getting closer to a deal.
The deal will be left-hander Jon Lester, outfielder Coco Crisp, shortstop Jed Lowrie and right-hander Justin Masterson for Santana.

Good deal or not?
