yes i am very worried
more than 70 percent of the kids i talk to in school say that baseball is boring
i personally find all other sports rather boring in comparison
one other reason is that (not to be racist at all) baseball is the one sport that has not been dominated by other races although that may soon change with the interest in the japanese market
with football so popular and basketball growing just as well it seems that as america becomes more and more diverse baseball may be forgotten
which is why i watch every game i can because nothing will ever stop me from rooting for DODGER BLUE

Baseball in the next twenty years will be so watered down with lack of talent-it will hurt the sport badly. Look at your local little league teams-kids really are not into it as much. You practically have to beg for kids to put down the basketball or football. Your talent will come from places other then the United States for the most part-more so then now.

Yeah, along with that fact is that we can talk about nothing else abou steriods. Plus the fact si, that I don't know how mauch eople are watching baseball, and pretty much the World Series, all this talk about who is or who isn't taking steriods. And plus that can hurt a sport, or popularity. You don't ever hear much talk about this, on another sport like basketball, hockey or football. And just like James Earl Jones said in Field of Dreams, to remember us about something good, or baseball being good however he put it what was once good. And who knows if it will ever be.

Baseball will never become unpopular. It will always be the 2nd most popular sport to football. Thier reputation will be smashed a bit, but after a while it will go away.
Either way I still LOVE the game of baseball.

I'm worried not by the Sport, I'm worried about athletes in general look at Marion Jones, she had to lose her medals because of steroids, Baseball will be fine as long as you have players like A ROD, Curt Schilling and others saying you don't want to do this like in Steroids or HGH if anything play be the rules.

Baseball lost that image 15 to 20 years ago. Football has far surpassed baseball in popularity in America.

The image has been tarnished, but you have to realize it is still just a form of entertainment.
I remember an epic duel between Gagne and Bonds a few years ago, where Gagne kept challenging Bonds with a 100MPH fastball and Bonds finally hit one out. Looking back, it sure was a freak show, but I was still entertained. I don't fool myself into thinking the game is pure. It is after all just entertainment.

Losing its image as America's pasttime? No, that won't happen. I think that it has already lost its image as America's most popular sport to Football and Basketball.
