I think it's funny how every Red Sox fan, or Yankee fan will jump on a question like this (me included) and defend their team. Why? because that is what a true fan dose. But tell me, what would a baseball season be without the games between these two teams? Tell me you can't wait till these two teams meet, I know I can't!! As for Hate the Yankees, no, But do I want to see the Sox kick their A**... hell yeah, I live for it!!!

No, I don't. And being a yankees fan, I don't like being judged because I root for them. I also wouldn't wish fans teach kids to hate the yankees. In fact, I think fans go over the top when they consider themselves "diehards".
I mean come on, what does it mean to be a fan?
I' ve been a yankees fan since I was seven. I admired them because my youth baseball team that I played for at the time was named the yankees. I was a first basemen and my favorite player was Tino Martinez.
I admire the grand success of their franchise. I love Lou Gehrig. In my opinion, he's one of the greatest players of all time. If you don't, then you denounce the american dream. That means being a fan by your choice.
The money didn't affect my choice of them. They believe in the capitalism style of business, ever since 1920, and when teams have that philosophy, some teams are going to get screwed.
I do think in later years, they have tried to hard to win the World Series. Now fans look at the yankees in disgrace because they fired Joe Torre due to his failure to win another title. I don't want them to get Santana because people will hate us even more.

Well I dont care about anyone else except Red Sox fans that think they are all that. They show more disrespect for baseball teams, especially the Yankees, then anyone I know. Cant stand 'em

They are also the most popular team. It comes with being the greatest sports team in the world. Other popular teams are like that. Dallas is probably the most popular NFL team and the most hated. I hate them by the way. It is great to have a team that stirs up such passions. (oh and by the way it is all jealousy of 26 world series champs)

It's just funny to me how the haters keep acting as if it's the Yankees fault that their favorite teams owners are cheap & only pocket the money they make for themselves instead of helping their team improve. If it was the other way around u wouldn't hear a word from these hypocrites.

of course i like the fact, i hate them too, and im glad that the vast majority of people outside of new york hate them too, they are a loathable team, nothing about them as a team or any of their individual players is likable, ive always felt that if any of my favorite players were to become yankees, they would quickly become my least favorite, for to be willing to play for, or root for the yankees, says a lot about a person, their priorities and their morals in life, whats important to them, you go to the yankees, you care about money and being in the spotlight, and i find those repulsive attributes

It really makes no difference to me one way or another. They are not going to win or lose any more games because they are not liked by many. Also, not only are they the most hated team but they are also the team with the most fans, the downside is offset by the positive.

I don't think they are the most hated..there are more Yankee fans in the world than any one team in any sport..and I am an Oriole fan..
now here maybe..the influx of Boston-New England trolls may make things look differently with their need to trash and talk smack

Who says that they are the most hated? In my experience, they are the most beloved all over the country. As a Navy retiree I have traveled extensively and saw Yankee fans everywhere. You need a source before you make such a general statement.
