Since turning 35, both Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens saw their numbers skyrocket:

Clemens
Turned 35 8/4/97
W-L 146-69
ERA 3.34
K per 9 8.7
ERA titles 3
20-win seasons 3
Cy Youngs 4

Bonds
Turned 35 7/24/99
BA .319
RBI 745
AB per HR 9.1
HR titles 1
40-HR seasons 5

All this after these two turned 35 after 35 you should be on the down side of you baseball not the up swing. So do any of you Bonds & Clemens supporters still think they are not cheaters?

Will do the rest of the math maybe latter but Bonds before he hit 30 only had 222 hr after 30 he hit 498 more

Clemens had a record of 153-128 and 6.9 K's per 9

The point is if you look at them they never went down in stats untill MLB took a hard line stane on steriods. No matter what twist you place on it they cheated.

Well with that logic, Babe Ruth and Walter Johnson must have been on steroids. After the age of 35, Ruth put up a .331 batting average and hit 150 home runs. Johnson (after the age of 35) pitched 1,136 innings and put up a 3.39 ERA.

Or how about Satchel Paige? The man pitched until he was damn near 50 and was still fairly dominant.

Bonds admitted to taking steroids. Whether he knowingly or unknowingly cheated, he still cheated and his numbers are tainted.

If Clemens doesn't admit to using steroids and nobody presents hard evidence that he used them, then he will be innocent in my eyes and the eyes of the law.

Your question is incomplete since you fail to show their stats prior to them turning 35. If your going to form a question condeming someone, at least be fair about it. Also, saying that someone is on the downside of their career after age 35 is misleading since you do not show any way to quantify that statement. If your going to use statistics use facts not conjecture.
As for your allegation they cheated , explain to me how exactly they cheated? Since steroids were not illegal and there was no rule against using them tell me how they cheated.

I hear Bonds injects himself with Human Growth Mustard, or HGM, which is completely undetectable, which is why he is not a cheater. This substance was apparently discovered when two guys from Chicago were eating pizza puffs and hotdogs when one of them actually spilled mustard on his arm and instead of wiping it off he just rubbed it around a little. Soon after, he got huge and started hitting homeruns with all the ladies.

As for that Clemens guy? He is a degenerate.

Good analysis. Both are done. Their careers end on a sour note. Forget Cooperstown for either of these record holders.
