I'm on the fence. He had alot of hits and played gold glove first base while making it to four world series winning one and playing over 1000 straight games. but he didn't hit alot of homeruns.

This is a hard question and I don't know the answer but the 1942 St. Louis Cardinals were World Champs while hitting on 60 home runs tottal. Their home run leader was Enos Slaughter with only 13 long flies! The 1931 World Champion Cardinals also only hit 60 homers.

Out of my home town team Cardinals (previously known as the Browns and the Perfectos) World Championship seasons, that was our fewest home runs durning the regular season. If every one researches their home town team maybe we can come up with an answer? Or maybe you know the answer?

What World Series Championship team hit the fewest home runs durning the regular season of their World Championship run?

Johnson is 43 with 283 wins so far (17 more wins required) while Mike Mussina is only 38 with 241 wins (59 needed).

So, who has a better chance at 300 wins career? Remember that Johnson is 5 years older than Mussina.

I don't understand the ins and outs of it. Why is the count so important? Why should the hitter not swing sometimes(based on the count)? All the little details of what is going on between the pitcher and Hitter-I just can't grasp it. I stupidly thought that the pitcher simply tried to throw a pitch that the hitter couldn't hit, but it seems to be much more complicated. Help?

This might be a broad question, but I'm curious how it's done in MLB. I've been following the Brewers for a while, and I notice that all but five players have contracts that end this season. I look at other teams and notice similar things. I'm not sure how it works, especially with minor league teams and other factors also involved. Can anyone provide a good explanation?

By the way, here is the source I used for finding Brewers contract lengths, which also has pages for every MLB team.
