avid Wright is sound on the field as well so from a real life stand point he brings more to the table the numbers might show...i see him make a great barehanded play yesterday and i'd say not many third basemen would have mad the player other then Scotty sure hands Rolen. it's crazy to think thhat guys like Tony Gwynn would havesuch consistant high averages and that. .275 isn't even spilt milk in my book. hell pull through....with a .292 average and 25 homers i think. i don't know that you can really be upset with that at all. he's not one o baseballs highest paid....but certainly an expected allstar callibar...so i'd say the mets can be happy with what they're getting from Mr. Wright and just hope that he comes through when it matters the most....play of baseball as far off as it is

Wright doesn't have a long track record like A-Rod, but he has shown enough talent that you shouldn't give up on him now. Everyone has ups and downs. If he has been lagging and he has 30 RBIs now, he should still get close to 100 if he picks it up with the average. He's on a great team, so he will continue to have opportunities to drive in runs. You could also trade him for someone else like Cabrera or Lowell, because his reputation is still good.

I think he will be fine and end up with 25-30 HR, 100 RBI and .290-.300. He's just too good of a hitter and has too good of a lineup not to produce good numbers when it's all said and done. Be patient and stick with him.

Wright started the year in a slump . 30RBIs isnt bad nor is it super but its nothing to fret over. He needs to figure out how to draw more walks and cut down on his strikeouts. Until he can do that, he is still a young experienced hitter with potential, nonetheless unrealized potential.

dump him unless 275 hitter with 85 rbi's is best you can get because that is what he will finish with. He isnt that good.

Sophmore slump - he's no longer a mystery to pitchers and he's having to make the adjustment.

don't worry, he is likely back on the "juice" now so you can expect him to end the year with 55 hr's 140 rbi's and hitting about .355....or is he back on the "sauce"? i forget, sorry.
