Johnson is 43 with 283 wins so far (17 more wins required) while Mike Mussina is only 38 with 241 wins (59 needed).

So, who has a better chance at 300 wins career? Remember that Johnson is 5 years older than Mussina.

Johnson for sure. Randy is a very knowledgeable and historical baseball player. He knows alot about the older players and older generations and he respects them and the game very much. I believe 300 is a number he wants very badly to honor the game. So, if he gets it at all he will definitely beat the moose there and i believe he will get it. Mussina will probably reach it also, i believe, but it will be after randy does it.

randy johnson will get 300 wins at the end of this season because his team is doing good and the will make it in to the playoffs and end up getting 300+ wins. mike mussina wont come close to 300 and mike mussina will retire in like two years.

Johnson. Mussina is washed up. Johnson will win more games now that he is back in Arizona. He was too stressed out playing in NY. He has already shown that he is bouncing back. 17 wins is about a season and a half (at most) for him.

Johnson, I am convinced, will keep grinding it out on the mound until he gets to 300 wins, plus a handful more to look respectable -- nailing 300 on the nose would smack of desperation.

Moose, who has never been higher than the sixth-best pitcher of this era, looks to be fading fast.

Gotta go with Unit.
