I bought 10 Curt Schilling jerseys in anticipation of his induction into the Hall of fame. Will this happen? I think his 3000+ satrikeouts will get him there first or second ballot.

No one will want a schilling jersey even if he goes to the hall..........he isnt the best at anything except for being an irrogant azz. Sell them now if you can get your money back. In ten years only people that will want them will be his immediate family.

Schilling will enter the hall. He has built a legend with his career and playoff mentions always help. Though he is far more then bloody sox...that will be part of the legend that is Curt Schilling, but, without his great career the sock would be forgotten about.

Wow, 10 jerseys...that's neat. You've got a long waite till he enters the hall. If you ask me I hope that he plays five more years!

Having well more than 3000 strikeouts hasn't helped Bert Blyleven. Yet, anyway.

Right now I don't think Schilling is Hall class, though he carries a lot of narrative value (mostly from the 2001 and 2004 championships) that is hard to assess. The voters may gobble up that sort of thing, or they may not.

Most importantly, he's not yet done, and may yet finish sufficiently strongly that it will tip the balance in his favor.

Me, today, no, I wouldn't vote for him.

No need to sell the jerseys because he will always be loved in Boston for what he has done. I do question whether he will make the hall though not do to merit but more to the media not liking him and sadly these guys for the most part do the voting

Chipmaker makes a very good point. The writer's need to get a good night's sleep the night before the voting, and have a good breakfast, and then be in a good mood and he might make it. I think he's hands-down a sure thing, but if he does something to get on the writers' bad side, like disagreeing with them about the weather or something, he could be kept out no matter his record.

He will make the hall of Fame.
He is a great pitcher.

No, his longevity in pitching life is most likely due to steroids. Hes never been the best pitcher or good enough to win a Cy Young in any one of his 20 seasons. You let guys like Pedro Astacio pitch 20 years he is going to get 3000Ks.

If pitchers could go to the hall of fame based upon their mouth, Schilling would be a sure fire hall of famer.

He needs to shut his ********** and pitch

sure thing, he'll be a first ballot hall of famer. two world series rings in three appearances (Philadephia 1993, Arizona 2001, Boston 2004). i would give him my vote if he retired today.
