they seem biased towards Mets & Yankees, even when they aren't annouving a game with either team in it. And they are incredibly boring and insult my intelligence with elemenatry baseball facts. agree ? disagree ?

Wouldn't you like to have CBS or NBC have baseball's game of the week and World Series/Playoffs instead of Fox ??

i think that when clemens and phil hughes come back...yankees will have a solid pitiching rotation...Clemens, Petitte, wang, moose, hughes.
this will give the pullpen a little rest as most of these guys can take the game in the 6/7 inning...what do you guys think?
this will def. help yankees prgress ...and do good...i still think its toooo early to crown red sox the AL est champs

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know he did or still does steroids. Anyone who says otherwise needs to get their head examined. That being said....Does he deserve special honors with breaking home run title? I think absolutely not! Even Hank Aaron will not acknoledge Barry's run. And even baseball , in general, is turning thier head.

This is supposed to be rivalry weekend, and therefore we see the Chicago, New York, Florida, Texas, Ohio, Los Angeles and Bay area teams facing off in the first of two interleague weekend series. Because the NL has two more teams than the AL, two NL teams have to sit out every weekend. And since teams like Boston, Arizona and Colorado have no natural rivalry in the opposite league, MLB has rotated the rivalry pairings amongst the remaining AL teams. That makes sense, otherwise you'd have the same two NL teams being left out every year during the rivalry weekends.

But what confuses me is the pairing of St. Louis and Detroit. I have come to assume that teams with natural geographic rivalries are exempt from the rotation, yet the Royals and Cardinals are not playing this weekend. I thought those two were annual rivals? Am I wrong or did this change? Could the New York or Chicago rivalries be sacrificed in the future?

I do. I think they should have a dress code like the yankees. when Juan Pierre had his first press conference with the Dodgers he had street close while other players and management had business suits. It made Juan Pierre look very unprofessional.
It's only my opinion, wondering what's yours.

I read part of the 1997 yankees lawsuit were it stated this:

While the Major League Clubs cooperate in
order to produce games, they have historically
competed aggressively among themselves in all
other respects, including (but not limited to) in
the acquisition of players, coaches, and staff; the
development and marketing of trademarks and
associated retail and wholesale merchandise; and
the marketing of sponsorships.

92. Each Major League Club is independently
owned and operated and no shareholder of one
Major League Club has shareholder interests in
another Major League Club.

So if team compete off the field it implies they are seperate businesses. I for one don't want revenue sharing or a salary cap.

It seems like everytime I turn on ESPN theres a Red Sox game on. Why don't they show some other teams like Yankees. ESPN is more like the Red Sox channel.
