...we're closing in on it and I'm excited. Which brings up the question that we have been answering since the DH was brought to MLB: DH or no DH, AL or NL, which is proven to be a better system and why?

I'd have to go with a guy like Chase Utley or Matt Holliday. Who would you pick and try best to explain why. Or do you think the streak will last forever and never be broken?

This is how I think it would look:

Ruth Conference (In Honor of Babe plus 3 of the teams he played for are in this conference):

Northeast (Could also be called Atlantic):

New York Yankees
New York Mets
Boston Red Sox
Toronto Blue Jays
Baltimore Orioles
Philadelphia Phillies

Southeast:

Atlanta Braves
Florida Marlins
Tampa Devil Rays
Washington Nationals

North Central:

Milwaukee Brewers
Detroit Tigers
Chicago Cubs
Chicago White Sox
Cleveland Indians

Mays Conference in Honor of Willie Mays:

Central:

Cincinnati Reds
St. Louis Cardinals
Cleveland Indians
Kansas City Royals
Minnesota Twins
Pittsburgh Pirates (Should be in northeast but there's no place to put them because that division would have 7 teams)

Southwest:

Texas Rangers
Houston Astros
Arizona Diamondbacks
Colorado Rockies

Pacific:

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
Los Angeles Dodgers
San Diego Padres
Seattle Mariners
San Francisco Giants
Oakland Athletics

Click on the Tigers, Cardinals game on the left side of the screen. If you click the field symbol you can watch whats happening.

How many more points do you think the Tigers will get?
Do you think the Cardinals will get shut out?

Before this season is lost. I personally thought he should have retired or have been fired at the end of last year. I think the game has passed him by. I'm a lifetime Yankee fan.

i havent seen anything anywhere regarding the american league record that ichiro just set for consecutive stolen bases. 45 consecutive bases is really pretty amazing!! it puzzles me that it got no press considering that most of the stuff you hear about mlb is negitive. what do you think??

Earlier today, Yankees DH Jason Giambi released a statement apologizing for taking performance-enhancing drugs. He then suggested that Major League Baseball (Players, owners and officials) should have apologized to the fans for what happened during the steroid era. Since then, there have been varying opinions about Giambi's "suggestion". Do you agree that the MLB owes the fans an apology?

I have seen Ichiro bat so many times but have not noticed 'til recently that he stands really gay!! Don't get me wrong he's a good player with amazing speed, batting, and throwing capabilities. But he just stands like a woman would stand! Funniest answer will win the points.

I believe we have an excellent Rotation a solid bull pen and solid hitting. Theres time to go and we're starting to get a few problems with Beckett. We have some hot guys that'll cool down a bit, but we also have some cool guys that'll heat up a bit, this year I love this team If we win a world series this year it may be a long string of excellent seasons

This year SkyItalia have decided not to broadcast MLB in my country. I'm in total sorrow for that, my only cure would be watching my favourite sport at least on my notebook.

May you suggest a link (or two) to view (or listen) any mlb games?

The World Series and All-Star game are robbed of some of their mystique that used to result from the two leagues playing completely exclusive schedules during the regular season.

Only good series matchups :
Mets Vs Yankees
Giant(steriods) vs. Athletics
Royals vs. Cardinals
Rangers vs. Astros
Twins vs. Brewers
Orioles vs. Nationals
Dodgers vs. Angels

There are many series that are not considered compelling; for example, series between currently poor-performing teams with no historical or geographic connections. :
Marlins vs. Devil Rays
Nationals vs. Blue Jays
Royals vs. Rockies
Seattle vs. Marlins
etc.....

every team has played the teams in the opposite league at least 3 series in the last 10 years..
