Do you feel it is continually fair that New York and Boston (amongst others) have to pay a luxury tax to teams, such as Tampa Bay, Kansas City and Pittsburgh, who have shown very little effort to putting a winning product on the field?

Which teams has Greg Maddux never won a regular season game against? And which teams has Barry Bonds never hit a regular season home run against? With both these guys always having been in the NL I am curious. I'm sure they have done so against all NL teams, but what about AL during interleague play? Is there a way to find these out? My searches have come up empty. (I know Maddux has never beaten Seattle)

I thought a MLB traditional season opener was used to be held in Cincinnati, home of the first pro ball club.
This year,a season opener was held in St. Louis, home of the last year's World Champ.
When and Why did they change a tradition?

I play outfield for my baseball team, and I get so nervous when I'm out there. I always think to myself "what if a ball comes here and I drop it!?" I'm perfectly fine when I'm batting (which is unusual because I used to be nervous batting- but now that I'm working on my batting, I'm not working on my fielding...anywho...), but I just get so nervous when I field. I have a game in a few hours...any advice?

A lot of players are complaining about the interleague games but I dont' agree...I love to see some of the match ups between the AL and NL - it is a nice change of pace and gives us fans a chance to see other great players that we don't usually get to see in action and isn't that what they are playing for in the first place, the FANS...anyone else agree?

I know I'm not. It should go to the team with the better record. It seems a lot more fair.

I was only into baseball as a kid and i'm back into it again, but i never paid attention to stats back then and i don't understand this.

If 3 outs is a complete inning for a pitcher why isn't it counted as IP.33 for one out and IP.66 for 2 outs? It doesn't even seem that they take balls or strikes into account--they just use either .1 or .2.
