Look at hockey and Football, it has made the sport better across the board. maybe not in football as much as in hockey. but I bet that baseball would be a better game over all if the put a hard cap such as maybe 100 million out there. but I geuss that you can have 250 million in salary and still be about as good as a team whose payroll is a Quarter of that.

I see this often in major league games. It’s that of a closely scored game in say the 7th or 8th inning with the top of the lineup or heart of the lineup coming up. Closers come in during the 9th inning right? Of course, but I can’t really figure out why managers don’t bring their best pitcher in while the game is at a peak rather then in the ninth where it’s not predictable as too what will be on the table so to say. So my question is why managers don’t more often bring in their best pitcher, and sometimes they do, in these situations which I’ve just described? Do you think they should? Would you stretch out your closers between innings if the pitch count is low?

it seems like humans can not exceed 100-105. You would think with all the technology they would be able to.

I like him, but I fear the Twins might do a stupid move by cutting him because hes had a tough schedule and has been against all the good pitchers plus the Twins give him no run support. I hope he stays with the Twins.

Next saturday May 26 theres a Royals game that i really want to go to. But, I've never been to a Brigade home game this year and next saturday is the last one. But, royals start at 6 and if brigade starts at 7 we could go to 1/2 of each. But Brigade starts at 5. We can't miss the first 1/2 of the royals game because then we won't get the bobblehead and paul splittorf is the only person i know that will be on bobbleheads. now we could go to a brigade playoff fame but that would be really hard to get tickets too. What should we do because i want to go to both of the games. PS: We've havent even gone to a sports store or got one of last years bobblehead off of Ebay. ~Jessica

For me there are 3 that really stick out in my mind. Pedro Martinez throwing Don Zimmer to the ground, Varitek and A-Rod going at it, and Aaron Boone's bottom of the 9th, game 7 walk off. What do you think is the best (or worst) moment in the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry?

Alot has been said about the Yankees slow start. This is the first time since 1995 they've been 10 games out of 1st place, but more important, I wonder when was the last time the Yankees were in last place on May 1st, as they were this year? When was the last time the Yankees were 5 games under .500 after May 1st? And how about this late in the season? When was the last time a Yankees team reached the All Star break with a losing record? Last time they finished the season under.500? Where can I find answers to questions like this? Where do the stat guys on talk radio get their statistics?
