Last I heard baseball was a "team" sport. This has nothing to do with individual records. It has everything to do with preferential treatment. Maybe in the eyes of some people he has earned the right to be treated special but in my book it's wrong. Now as far as what Farnsworth said, if he confronted Clemens first with his feelings before going public then I don't have a problem with it. If not then Farnsworth should have kept his mouth shut. As the Godfather once said, "You never discuss the family busy outside the family."

Kyle Farnsworth is right no one should have the privledges that Clemens was given with that contract. It's a team sport and if everyone has to show up to the game injured or not they should be there. The contract is a disgrace and it's pathetic that MLB allowed the contract in the first place. What does a guys career record have to do with stating an opinion? I think more people should go out and say whats on their minds especially with this disgraceful contract the baseball allowed. Just absolutely pathetic that the commissioner would allow something like that. All players should be treated the same their shouldn't be special rules for a certain player just because he's old. I don't see Julio Franco doing that? Hey can Willie Randolph call me I'll be driving around town or doing my errands while my team is playing. Absolutlely horrible that this was allowed.

Disagree. Farnsworth is a Major Leaguer. So is Clemens. Clemens has done more, yes. But they are teammates (or will be) and I can accept that Farnsworth wouldn't like the special treatment Roger is receiving.

i'd say a similar element as Farnsworth. he would be on the Yankees longer than Clemens besides. huge deal, that's blown over, you ought to have asked this 2 weeks in the past whilst this replaced into easily an argument.

What Farnsworth said is accurate. You win as a team and lose as a team. Not this be here only when your pitching BS.
What kind of team heart and spirit is that? Although, Farnsworth should keep those type of comments out of the media. That should be locker room talk only.
That's ok with me. Don't like the Yankees anyway. I watch them every chance I get, so I can root for the other team.

Disagree. He never once questioned Clemens' on the field production. He is simply saying that Clemens isnt really being a part of the team by going and coming as he pleases.

Disagree. Farnsworth hit it right on the button -- no matter how great a pitcher Clemens is, the Yankees should have known they were only asking for trouble when they granted him all those special priveleges. No one individual, no matter how great, is above the team.

I don't care how good the player is, he's part of a team and should be there in the dugout. I agree with Farnsworth 100%. His stats have nothing to do with being a team player.

Farnsworth is a tough guy that isn't afraid of anyone, and isn't afraid to criticize anyone either. He probably shouldn't have said it publicly, but I guarantee you he's not the only one in the clubhouse thinking the same thing. As an astros fan I hope Clemens fails miserably in NY.

i agree he doesnt have the room to talk, but he does make a good point about being a team ,clemens only has to be at yankee stadium when he pitches and doesnt have to travel with the team ,so farnsworth has a point but should work on his game and worry about staying in new york now
