I stop watching espn because of that they are so bias showing mostly redsox games but they also show a lot Yankees games. i think is 50/50 so what i do i dont watch espn i only watch if other teams are on. They show a lot redsox games because they have a huge fan base bigger than lots of teams combine i wont mention the Yankees because they are on tv or news every time i see.

First and foremost, ESPN is based in Connecticut, so they are literally right between the two biggest markets in all of baseball. The third biggest market is Chicago, then LA, that's why they get a lot of games too. It helps that the Red Sox have been putting competitive teams out there every year for the past decade as well.
ESPN has always had a lot of Red Sox/Yankees games on because it's the best rivalry in all of sports today, no one can argue that.
Also, with the signing of Matsusaka this past offseason, the Red Sox made a huge push in world marketing, and ESPN knows that they need to jump on the bandwagon and broadcast as many Red Sox games as possible, especially when Matsusaka is pitching, that way they get even higher ratings all over the country and the world.

I think ESPN pays way too much attention to both the Yankees and the Red Sox. Out of town Yankees fans I would think have the least to complain about because YES- the Yankee network- is in more out-of-town locations than almost any other local sports network and many Yankee fans can find them on YES and wouldn't need ESPN. Plus, Bristol, CT is right smack inbetween Boston and New York, so I am sure there are a lot of people making the decisions in Bristol going to those falbacks.

Because the Yankee's have their own network in Yes so they do not need ESPN to have them on. Also I hate to say it but the Sox are better right now and ESPN want to show the best teams and right now that is the Red Sox.

Yeah, I never see the Yankees on TV at all. C'mon man, ESPN showed the Rangers at Yankees Stadium when they could have had a game in Atlanta with Greg Maddux of San Diego facing his long time teammate John Smoltz.
That was the more interesting game to me as a baseball fan of neither the Red Sox, Yankees, Rangers, Braves or Padres.
Basically for ESPN, showing the Red Sox and Yankees equals big ratings. You do the math.

It plays more of the Red Sox and Yankees because their the best and most popular teams in baseball. Sometimes(once or twice every 2 weeks) there will be another game on.

The Yankees get more than enough coverage. Talking about ESPN coverage, Royals? D-backs? Marlins? come on.
Red Sox are getting the coverage because they have the best record in baseball, and they have a large domestic and international fan base.
The same reason the Yankees get more than their far share of coverage too.

Why not? I enjoy watching them play. They have been on fire recently and they get a lot of publicity because of dice-k. It kinda rolls with the yankees red sox rivarly. When I turn on TV it's usually the braves playing. I've seen like 5 or 6 of their games already. Anyways, I think yankees and mets play on Sunday.

it's because ESPN is right in the Sox's backyard and because they kiss up to the Yanks-Sox rivalry way too much
personally, I think FOX does the exact same thing w/ the Cubs and the White Sox, and I'm a HUGE Cubbies fan
