The Mets would win two out of three in New York and the Red Sox would win two out of three in Boston. While I would agree that Boston has a deeper pitching staff surely we can agree that the Mets could win with Glavine and Maine with Wagner closing. That being said, I believe the Mets would win the majority of the games if they played 182 against each other because I believe they have a better and deeper team. And before anybody gets made at me I will tell you I am a Dodger fan and I really don't care about either one.

That would be an amazing series. I am a Die-Hard Met Fan, but I also Love the Red Sox. I would have to say 2-1 Boston though. They have more starters then the Mets and all of their players are hitting well right now.

like the guy above me the ballgame is pretty much all about pitching if you wanna win (though you need good bats to score some runs)
the sox rotation is a very fine one, with 3 ace-form pitchers (schilling, dicek, and beckett) along with wakefield and tavarez, who've been chipping in their fair share of decent-above average pitching
also look at the bullpen; just dominating okajimas been owning the MLB and papelbons on fire as usual, along with pretty much all the relievers whove been keeping the opponents at bay
all in all the red sox arguably have one of the best pitching staffs in the majors rite now

Red Sox. It all comes down to pitching, and the Sox have a very good rotation.

If it's Schilling, Beckett, then Dice-K, I would say the Sox would take 2 of 3.
