I still see Zito pitching for the Mets

Im a mets fan, but it seems as though zito and mulder are both gonna sign with texas. If so, who else is out there for the mets to sign. We need one more proven pitcher to complete the rotation for the first half of the season before pedro martinez returns. The only possible suitors i see out there are suppan, weaver, and armas. Any ideas? Maybe even some trade scenarios. Dontrelle Willis seems like the only big name out there, but i dont think the marlins are gonna budge. Thanks for the answers people.

The umpires conferred at the end of the half inning and announced that the Yankees were to be awarded another run on the board. The play in question possibly involved some of these factors: did runner tag too early? was protest of runner leaving too early upheld? Did runner tagging from third cross plate before third out made elsewhere on the field?

There were a confluence of unusual factors that lead to this confusing ruling.

I just heard some moron on the radio (the host) say it is a good idea to trade Chieng Ming Wang. Are there actually mongoloid Yankees fans out there that think this is a good idea??!?!? I am sick of this star worship of aging pichers i.e. Roger Clemens. When a pitcher reaches the late thirties, they should not be getting lofty contracts at the expense of young talent. I would take a young pitcher, especially a runner up to the Cy Young over old pitchers any day of the week. CASHMAN...DON'T SIGN ANY MORE OLD PITCHERS!!!!!!!

I think anyone who knows anything baseball history realizes that Abner Doubleday played little or no role in the invention of baseball. Yet I still see in many places, including here, references to him as the inventor of the game. Why is that?

This year seems like they have potential with three members on their team that could hit 40+ homers.

We will not have space for him in the staring rotaion if we aquire D-Mat, and i doubt we will put him in the bullpen seeing what happened with paplebon.
