well i knew he used .. taking the 5th 99% of the time means you guilty . i say a & b i already hated he took part in something that basically rip the heart out of base ball . I no longer think if children playing ball when i here the term baseball.. i think of people using drugs to gain a edge to make million of dollars they would not be able to get any other way . There is no reason for a player to use drugs . That is why there is a IR. Everyone in baseball knew but turned a blind eye because it was making some much money .. it was like that big red Elephant in the living room no body talks about .. they ran the risk if being caught ot being exiled because they brought negative attention to there sport, team & fellow players . just sad there letting it go . They do what every for money ..what is next metal bats , sticky gloves . ???? they basically spit in the face of every baseball player who every played the game drug free . As for the record holders that had there records broke by the users. They need to be restored as the rightful holders and all other records need to be tossed from the books .. They can note the players who did hit what every but was not allowed because he used enhancing drugs like Steroids.

I think that he did, but when he was playing, steroids weren't illegal; they were frowned upon though. The stigma with him is that people who understand the game consider it cheating even though it wasn't technically illegal. Babe Ruth didn't use steroids, but would he have had they been available?
There are plenty of great players who during recent interviews have stated that had steroids been available when they played, they cannot say they wouldn't have used them. Mike Schmidt, Bob Gibson, Andy Van Slyke just to name a few of the ones I heard say just that. The big thing during the '70s and '80s was "greenies" or amphetamines. I know for a fact that Greg Luzinski used them and have it on good authority that a great many players used them all the time to get up for games.

If he was or wasn't,whats the difference? He hit the home runs not the steroids. People complain that it wasn't fair but they are just jealous that they didn't put up with the problems that steroids present as I'm sure that Mark did. Proof? You have no proof one way or the other and I won't give you any either. It makes no difference to me if he did or didn't use steroids, only that he is a great base ball player that broke some records hitting home runs. I don't care if he used steroids.

Mark McGuire, Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, etc., etc.. etc. They are all cheaters and a disgrace to baseball. Roger Maris still holds the record for most legitimate home runs in a season.

He never took steroid that were ILLEGAL at the time. He was found with a bottle of steroids in his locker, but they were perfectly LEGAL atthe time so he actually never broke any rules. Also watch his Grand Jury testimony...

Whatever you do, don't ask him anything under oath because he won't answer the question with a direct answer.
He did take some perfomance enhancing substances before they became illegal. Whether he took illegal substances or not, it is still unknown.

HE DIDN'T APPEAR AT THE OPENING OF THE NEW BUSCH STADIUM OR AT THE WORLD SERIES.
