Well, if I was GM for the Jays I wouldn't have went after Gil Meche as hard as Ricciardi did, and I would have went for maybe Mark Mulder, and concentrated more effort on resigning Ted Lilly and Vernon Wells. Also, I definitely wouldn't have signed Matt Stairs after dropping 18mil for Frank Thomas.
As manager, I would make Reed Johnson my everyday man in LF and my leadoff guy in the order, and use Stairs as a big lefty bat off the bench.
Batting lineup something like this:
Reed Johnson LF
Alex Rios RF
Vernon Wells CF
Troy Glaus 3B
Frank Thomas DH
Lyle Overbay 1B
Greg Zaun C
Aaron Hill 2B
Royce Clayton SS
As for starting rotation Im not sure other than Halladay, Burnett and Chacin as my 1,2,3 guys.
I wouldnt be surprised if this is Gibbons' lineup for opening day. So I guess there isn't much I would change from a managerial stand point, but the GM has some work to do.

As manager I can only work with the players my general manager signs for me. But here's how I think the Mets shape up:
C - LoDuca: Proved to be a great handler of pitchers, no power but good enough to find a catcher to hit over .300 in the #2 spot.
1B - Delgado: Had stretches of minor slumps but posted good numbers overall and had a fantastic post-season.
* 2B - I think the Mets need to shop for a younger, more dynamic, better fielding 2nd baseman. Valentin is ok for now and there's nobody, except maybe Belliard, on the FA market. Look for Anderson Hernandez to get more playing time next year.
SS - Jose Reyes should have garnered more MVP votes; gotta love him as the catalyst that gets these Mets going.
3B - David Wright had a rough time in the playoffs but lets hope the experience makes him a tougher player.
LF - Moises Alou is a temporary fix until Ben Johnson can prove he can hit big-league pitching. Endy Chavez will be there for late-inning defensive relief.
CF - Beltran bounced back with a big season but oh that freezing Wainwright curveball; he probably should have swung at that first pitch fastball.
RF - The unemotional Shawn Green needs to hit 40+ homeruns again and win the comeback player of the year award.
Pitching: The oldies but goodies, Glavine, El Duque, and Pedro (when he gets back) will have to mix well with youngsters John Maine and Oliver Perez, two 26 year olds that have great potential. If Zito doesn't get signed than Philip Humber will most likely get another shot at a full season with the big club - Mike Pelfrey as well. The trade I want back is the Scott Kazmir for Victor Zambrano - what the heck were the Mets thinking there!?!?!
* Relief Corps: The Mets look pretty good at middle relief with newcomer Ambiorix Burgos, Heilman and company but could always use one more good arm in the bullpen like Keith Foulke who could benefit from crossing over to a new league. I would send Billy Wagner to a psychologist cause he just caught a whole-bit of bad luck in the post-season! And wtf is YadierMolina hitting like he's Ted Williams!?
Bench: Woodward, Easley, Damion, and a host of youngsters should be better than good enough to spell the veterans once in awhile.
Overall: The Mets don't need much. They lost the playoffs mostly due to their pitching injuries. Barry Zito is probably their best bet but they have alot of young, strong arms that can't be ignored. Should be another good year!

Well my favorite team is the New York Yankees. We may need to get a couple of more pitchers. The line up is designed to score 900-1000 runs a year. Joe Torre has to be a smart Manager. A-Rod needs to cut down on his errors and strike outs. Theres not much else , They'll do what they do best (crossing fingers) :)

It all depends on how much money i would have first of all.
Since my Twins are a low marketing team, were not going to have much.
Right now, the BIG free agency players are way out of our range, so i would work on the payers i have now.
Joe Mauer has to stop hiting into so much double plays, maybe put him first int he line up. I'd like Nick Punto at 3rd, but he needs to work on his batting, so i'd have a batting coach for him.
The MVP will be fine, Torri Hunter is great, Cuddiar (omg i can't spell his name) if you get him in an 0-2 1-2 or any position with 2 strikes, he will strike out no doubt, so he needs work there.
Of course, my pitching is a deep trouble. I would rely on and give my AA or AAA players a chance to shine in the MLB.

Well if I was the Tigers manager I'd have PFP (pitchers fielding practice) till my pitchers re-discovered how to throw to a base. Now if I'm Cards manager I'd just shine up the trophy.
