This year seems like they have potential with three members on their team that could hit 40+ homers.

Yes - eventually if they can get the right piching and the staff stays healthy. Unfortunately they are in the same division as the Cardinals - so the best chance they have in the next several years is to get to the wild card, but than they will get beat by the Cardinals for the pennant anyway. Sorry man, the best bet they have is to switch leagues and than try to beat the Cardinals in the World Series.

Some day they will have too. Pitching wins championships. The cubs do not have pitching. If Prior, IF Woods can ptich, (which they can't) they might do okay.
Pitchers like Suppan are 4 or 5th startes. The Whitesox had 4 #1-2 type starters when they won. The cubs have Zambrano and little else at this point.

They are weak in Center. Soriano will hit but can't filed which makes the pitching that much worse. They will be like the 1978 whitesox hitmen.

I sure wish they would win, but I doubt it. Bartman could come out of hiding.

They won't win a world series. The cubs have a curse on them. Gerogie don't be whining cause the Tigers choked in the world series and the white sox won it in 2005.

Yes. It may not happen in 2007 (although they look good on paper). It may not happen in 2008. But it will happen before too much longer.

I do know for a solid fact that The Cubs chances of winning the world series are 100 times better than their southside crybaby neighbors, the whinny sux.

I also know that The Cubs will win a world series before the whinny sux ever do again. In fact, it will be another 88 years before the whinny sux ever win a world series again.

maybe it's not just the cubs, perhaps it's wrigley field. Obviously being the second oldest park in the majors hasn't given them much luck. Look at what happened to the White Sox shortly after moving from Comiskey to US Celllular. So I say Cubs move away from Wrigley after 07' and maybe they'll win one in 08' exaclty 100 years since their last title.

It is a possibility if they stay healthy. Soriano, Lee, Rameraz could definelty hit a bunch of home runs. They still have zambranano at the front of the rotation, but the rest of the rotation needs to step it up.

They wilI definately think we will be a threat next year. With a one two three with Derrik Lee, Aramis Ramirez, and Alphonzo Soriano, that is gonna be a dangerous stretch. If we can get our pitching going, we are really gonna be ready to go places.

This could be their year, but they have to win the playoffs before the World Series to do it all. Let's hope they can.

Chow!!

They probably will win before the Texas Rangers win. I'm a Rangers fan and they keep giving away the good players

No, I don't see it happening. There will always be something to keep it from happening. I think it might be one of the signs of the apocalypse, so I sure hope not.
Georgie Porgie, you're a douche.
Jeremy, the Sox didn't move from Comiskey to U.S. Cellular field, the name was changed (purchased).
