The Cubs come back every year.

Cubs will win World Series this year. They are 98 years over due

If Prior and Miller pitches... the Cubs will be good.... If Soriano pulls another 40-40 while Ramirez and Lee do their thing... the Cubs will be good... If they would actually play solid defense, they will be good... I think they will make the play-offs but will lose in the NLCS to the NYM

The Cubs never left Chicago..maybe they rode back in on that dreaded goat.

Seriously, with Lou Pinella at the helm, they will be better, but alas, too many questions surrounding starting pitching and more importantly,Wood and Prior.

To be honest, their chances are not great. They will contend for a wild-card spot and maybe make the playoffs, but will probably be eliminated in the first or second round, as none of the players they have recently signed, besides Marquis and Soriano, have much playoff experience. And even those two have not been dazzling October stars. They will win 85- 90 games, but World Series dreams will have to wait.

They definetly look decent on paper but they aren't really a well-constructed team and will probably fall. Don't forget, they're in the same division of the Cards who are still much better.

I really hope they make the playoffs in the division.

but a new team doesn't just take one year to be succesful. Injuries may come, and another year must be waited.
