The Red Sox. I'm from New England and that is Red Sox territory. I was born into a family that were loyal Red Sox fans and still are, we have been known to sneak out of gatherings and go to our car radio just to listen to a Red Sox game. Thank God for XM radio now on our vacations ,yeah!
I love the History of the Red Sox, when you walk into Fenway you feel that you have entered a by-gone era, you can pictue the players that have come and gone over the years. I love the atmosphere when the fans are giddy with excitment if the team is winning. The edge of the seat, heart stopping, stomach burning feeling if they start to lose their lead.
I love the Red Sox becasue for 86 years they took their fans on a roller coaster ride, the most thrilling of all roller coasters, and the only fans that got off that coaster were those that passed on. The coaster took on new riders and they learned the thrill of the ride..but then 2004 came around and the roller coaster came to a screaching halt. What had happened....A world series Championship? What? How? No, Way? Yes, it was true, phones rang all over New england it was as if we had witnessed a miracle...well it is the closest thing to a miricle any Red Sox fan will probably ever witness. But like most true Red Sox fans we all wonder will it be another 86....so yes that is why I love the Red Sox...because I never know how long "wait till next year" will be again but I'll still get on that roller coaster ride come spring.

Red Sox. No doubt about it. Reasons:well, there's the obvious-I've lived in Mass my whole life. Area of home always affects things like this. The Sox are one of the most historic teams in the MLB. They won the very first World Series, in 1906. Bet you didn't know that. They may not have won as many as the Yankees (suck) or other teams, but that 86-year dought just made it that much better when they finally won it in 2004. I mean, I was born in 1992, so I missed almost all of it, but I've seen films and pictures of Bill Buckner, Fisk waving his home run fair in game 6, Yaz, Ted Williams, Joe Cronin, Bobby Doerr, al them. And then now we have Big Papi (seems like a really nice guy) with all those home runs and almost-MVP's, and Manny, who's just Manny, and Young Theo. All that. And Fenway is the oldest park in the MLB. The Green Monster is definitely the craziest, best stadium quirk. Second would be the ivy at Wrigley. Plus, almost all my extended family lives in New Jersey, so I take a lot of crap from those bum Yankee fans, but it's still fun. Choke!

My favorite team is the Diamondbacks. I have been a fan ever since they became a team. They have only won the World Series once in their nine year existence and most of the time they don't even get into the playoffs. But, I stick with them. They are my team and I agree with others that you always stick with your home team through thick and thin.

Just for the record I wish they had never changed the uniforms, purple was their color.

I am a Red's fan. Been a Red's fan since I was very small. I grew up watching Johnny Bench, Tony Perez, and the gang. They were the best in the 70's and they had many great players and good seasons. No, I don't live in Cincinnati, actually I am from down south. I will be a Red's fan till the day I die. Can't change a good thing. lol

The Los Angeles Dodgers, because of their rich history, impact on the game of baseball, players they have had, and their style of play. I have always liked clutch hitting, speed, good pitching, good defense, and reliable contact. I wish I had been able to see them play in Brooklyn in the '50s, when the Boys of Summer ruled baseball. Nothing would be able to compare to watching Jackie Robinson slide home in a cloud of dust, Pee Wee Reese coming through again with a hit, or Sandy Amoros making a game-saving catch at the most critical moment of the season.

A true fan will always stick with the team they grew up with no matter how bad or what trouble they are in.

So for me, I go with my Twins.

Those who like a team because they are just good (Without any connection to the team/state/ or city, is just a disgrace to the sports nation.

Chicago White Sox.
They are the closest team to my house.
The games are a blast, starting with tailgating.
The team has a long, storied past, even the Black Sox scandal is interesting.
The team isn't full of a bunch of egos, instead we have a group of guys who have fun and win.
I love wearing the jerseys, hats, etc. They look cool.
Other Sox fans love baseball and know the game.
