Not Yanks..they won with bought players. Giants, Dodgers, A's & Braves changed cities. Cincy had Marge Schott. Cubs can't win. Boston took forever to win. Indians chronic losers. Other clubs too new to have history.

They were out smarted out coached and out played and cry foul because their team lost the game.

Are they poor sports and sore loses? Or
Is it because they know the better team won and refuse to accept it? Please explain your answer

Jered Weaver went 6-0 tonight, just two shy of Velenzuela's 8-0 rookie season (that won him the Cy Young & Rookie Of The Year Award) in 1981.

I actually hate the Angels (for taking the Los Angeles name) and am a true blue Dodger fan, so I hope that Weaver doesn't accomplish this. There will only be one Fernandomania.

with "last licks"? "qualifiers"; ameture baseball, NO fans in the stands. and if you KNOW, what percentage of times does the team that bats 1st win when they score in the 1st inning? what percentage of times does the home team win when they have to bat in the bottom of the ninth?

I saw this today in a Babe Ruth baseball game: The first baseman settled under a lazy pop fly about three feet to the home plate side of first base and also a couple of feet into foul territory, and stood there under the ball. Just as the runner approached first base (the runner was taking an open, straight line route to first base right along the foul line), the fielder suddenly moved to his right into the direct path of the runner (perhaps because the wind had drifted the flight of the popup), and the two men collided right on the foul line just before the ball came down. The ball dropped and the umpire called the runner out (and also ejected the runner for running into the fielder who was trying to make a catch - league rules). Would this same ruling have occurred under major league baseball rules?
