I watch games with my husband on TV, and see all the people in the stands. I'm very amazed at the high attendance. I enjoy watching the game too, but I don't live for baseball. My question is, what is so appealing about baseball that thousands and thousands of Americans are such dedicated fans?

Are you as upset as I am with the Reds for teasing us ( the fans ) with a 23 - 12 start and then proceeding to fall apart? The bullpen and the defense suck, and lately the starting pitching has begun to fail. I guess as long as baseball continues to operate under its present structure, small market teams such as the Reds can no longer hope to be competitive.

Fantasy baseball
who is the best possible bat i can get for these two .. how bout Rios and bedard or woody williams??
and i know i should keep rios cuz he'll be back soon but its a part of another trade, so dont tell me not to trade rios jus tell me the best bat i could get if i do .. (and i gotta trade 2 players) so i dont have to drop anyone in my other trade

I could pick on a lot of sports, but I'm sticking with baseball for these questions...1) Why does a batter spit into his glove after each pitch? Did something happen to the previous lunker you spit into your glove five seconds ago? 2) Why do batters step out of the box and readjust their gloves and helmet after each pitch? Did something happen in the last five seconds from the last time you did it? 3) Why do players spit so much...even when they don't chew tobacco, gum or nuts? 4) Why are fans so obcessed about getting a foul ball? Why do they fight over it? It's a baseball, you can get them at KMart for about .50 cents. 5) Do really, really fat guys at ball games without their shirts on and holding beers REALLY think they are sexy? 6) Why do fans yell at players, telling them what to do, do they really think the players are going to do what they say?
I like a good ballgame every once in a while, but I just don't get the sillyness surrounding it.

The hat is a traditional Red Sox cap with the red B on the front. The cap is however somewhat lighter shade of navy blue with exposed white stitching all over the the cap. Just wondering if there are any good sites where I might could find a cap like this.
