Perhaps, if the owners are willing to spend some $$ to keep talent. Every time they have a good player (and they've HAD some of the best), they guy asks for a raise, and management says, "Don't let the door hit you in the *** on the way out". They've kept Ichiro because he WANTS to play there, and nowhere else. I'm sure they would have let him go, too, if it had come down to laying out extra cash. This year, he is making 12.5 mill, which does not even put him in the top 25. He's been an All-Star every year, Golden Glove every year, Rookie of the Year, AL MVP 4 times, more awards in his 5 years in MLB than anyone, but he's not in the Top 25 salaries?

The Mariners are cheap, they need to keep their talent by paying them rather than trading them.

Yeah, I think they will but not for a few years.
Keep the faith and always stand behind your team no matter what anyone else says. They'll get there someday! : )

Not if they continue to trade away the players who make them a good team. I mean, you have to keep at least a couple of them!!

Chow!!
