Today on the news, he'll have back surgery and he's off for the rest of the season. Last season was similar. I am gonna miss the "Game Over" guy til next season. What are your thoughts?

I'm talking specifically about the scoreboard with all the other games going on around the league. The teams are listed, with a score to the right if applicable. But usually there are numbers to the left, most of the time two columns. I'm a lifetime baseball fan, and my friends don't know either.

I grew up supporting the Twins who have an OK team this year but their interleague record is astonishing. Do NL teams do a bunch of other things besides the lineup that are different than AL teams?

The pitcher throws at 200 mph, right down the middle, every time (almost robotically). The batter hits a home run at every at bat (and managers will soon catch on, walking him). The two never face each other.

What if the pitcher consistently lasts 5 innings? 9? Does bunting matter? Poor catcher . . .
