I'm talking specifically about the scoreboard with all the other games going on around the league. The teams are listed, with a score to the right if applicable. But usually there are numbers to the left, most of the time two columns. I'm a lifetime baseball fan, and my friends don't know either.

thats the way it looks here the 1st number is the pitchers jersey number the middle is obviosly the team and the right is the score and the last is obviously the inning

The number listed to the left of the team name on a scoreboard is the uniform number of the starting picture for that team

Usually, they are the number of the pitcher that is currently pitching for each team.
