Brokeback Jeter is the most over-rated, pretty boy in baseball. Put Jeter on any other team other than the Yanks and he's just average.

How about WAS, there are too pretty cool 22 and 23 year-olds on the Mets named Jose Reyes and David Wright, and they are so much fun to watch out there, and lets face it, they aren't paid too much, so the money can't get to they're heads. Well, anyways thats my opinion, and u may or my not like it but face it, Jeter isn't going to be around forever, at least 20 years

Dedication. He dedicates his life to baseball! It's so apparent in the way he plays. That's why he's the team captain. Others look to him for inspiration and support.
Even when their team loses a game, Derek plays his heart out till the very end and has a great time while he's at it! He's got so much class it almost drips off of him! Oh, and he's cute, too. ; )

He's not. Pat Tilman was awesome, he risked and gave up his life. Jeter is just a spoiled over-rated baseball player. The word awesome is over-used in the sports world.

Because he manages to make people feel like he could be their friend some day even if we know that it can't really happen. Because he is loyal to his fans and his team and will not accept anything but victory. And last but not least because he got a lot of women and girls (myself included) to watch and actually, like baseball.

GO JETER!!!!!

He is an arrogant player and feel that he is better than anyone else it will be his downfall. I think he has a ton of talent but a bad attitude.
