In all likelihood, he uses different size and weight bats from each side because his stance and approach are slightly different. Having them in different colors simply makes it easier to identify which is which.

It's the weight of the bat that matters so I believe he does that to be able to distinguish one from the other without having to swing them first.

the bats are made out of different wood, he uses 2 different wieght bats because he is stronger from one side to the other

Different weights.

Maybe he not as strong of a hitter from one side of the plate to the other so he needs a different weight in order to help him out?

i don't know probably superstition or something he's injured so I guess its not working oh his team sucks too
